Celebrating 5 Years of Care, Dedication & Excellence!

This week we had the privilege of celebrating not just a milestone, but a journey – 5 years of [D-Triumph Care Services, providing compassionate, quality care in our community.

To mark the occasion, we hosted a very special Black Tie Awards Evening, where we recognised and celebrated the incredible dedication of our amazing team.

🏆 Award winners were celebrated for their commitment, hard work, and the difference they make every single day in the lives of the people we support. Each award was a reminder that our staff are the true heart of our company. Without their passion and professionalism, none of this would be possible.

The evening was filled with laughter, pride, and joy as we looked back on how far we’ve come, and forward to the exciting future ahead.

A huge thank you to every member of our team, both past and present for being part of our journey. Here’s to the next 5 years and beyond! 🥂

THE F.R.E.D.A PRINCIPLES

Human rights-based approach is the process by which human rights can be safeguarded in clinical and organisational practice by adhering to the fundamental core values of fairness, respect, equality, dignity, and autonomy (FREDA).

The FREDA principles are the basis of good health and social care, which should be used individually and mutually to inform decision-making.

THE FREDA PRINCIPLES
Fairness:
This principle demands that due consideration is afforded to the person’s opinion, giving them
the opportunity to have that point of view expressed, listened to, and weighed, alongside other
factors relevant to the decision to be taken.

Respect is the objective, unbiased consideration and regard for the rights, values, beliefs, and
property of other people. Respect applies to the person as well as their value systems and implies that these are fully considered before decisions that may overrule them are taken.

Equality:
The many facets of expressing the principle of equality, including non-discrimination, overlap
with respect. The Commission for Equality and Human Rights was established under the
Equality Act 2006, which gave it the legal responsibility to tackle discrimination and promote
equality on the grounds of disability, gender, and race.

Dignity has been defined as ‘a state, quality or manner worthy of esteem or respect, and (by extension) self-respect. Dignity in care, therefore, means the kind of care, in any setting, which supports and promotes, and does not undermine, a person’s self-respect regardless of any difference.

Autonomy is regarded as one of the four fundamental ethical principles of healthcare. It is the principle of self-determination whereby a person is allowed to make free choices about what happens to them.

At D-Triumph Care Services, we don't just provide care, we protect human rights.

These values are the foundation of how we:
✔️ Empower independence
✔️ Deliver safe, person-centred care
✔️ Ensure everyone is treated with compassion and fairness!

When human rights are upheld, lives are transformed. We are here to make a difference!

EMPATHY!!!

DEFINITION OF EMPATHY
In the health and social care context, empathy is the ability of care professionals to:
• Recognize and understand the emotional states and perspectives of service users.
• Communicate this understanding effectively.
• Respond in a way that validates and supports the individual’s feelings and experiences.

EMPATHY VS. SYMPATHY
• Empathy is “feeling with” someone, connecting emotionally and intellectually with their
experience.
• Sympathy is “feeling for” someone feeling pity or sorrow without necessarily
understanding their perspective.

EXAMPLE OF EMPATHY IN ACTION
IMPORTANCE OF EMPATHY IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE

Empathy underpins person-centred care, which is vital for effective support and
treatment. Key reasons empathy is essential include:
a. Building Trust and Rapport
• Service users are more likely to open up and share personal concerns when they feel
understood.
• Trust leads to better communication and cooperation in care plans.
b. Improving Health Outcomes
• Research shows that empathetic interactions contribute to improved mental and
physical health outcomes.
• Service users are more likely to follow treatment plans when they feel supported and
respected.
c. Enhancing Emotional Well-being
• Empathy helps reduce feelings of isolation, fear, and anxiety in patients and clients.
• It supports emotional resilience and dignity.
d. Reducing Complaints and Conflict
• When people feel heard and understood, they are less likely to become distressed or
angry, even in challenging situations.

At D-Triumph Care Services, empathy shapes every conversation, every action, and every moment of care. Because when we lead with heart, we make a real difference.
