Thank you Diana Armstrong MLA for your recent kind correspondence acknowledging our work in Accessible Adventures Ireland and our recent Sport Ireland Outdoors for All award.
Living and working in Fermanagh is a joy. I’m passionate about sharing our landscapes and wild places to ensure access for people with a disability. Some images that capture Fermanagh’s unique beauty and our work.

Volunteers Needed – Dublin Mountains Challenge 2026 ⛰️🚶‍♀️

One of our biggest fundraising events of the year, the Dublin Mountains Challenge, is back on Sunday, 17th May.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day safe, fun, and unforgettable.

💚 How you can help:
We need support at key locations along the route to guide and assist participants.

If you are available to help us, please see the sign-up options below:

Option 1:
If you’re new to volunteering with Barretstown, you’ll need to create an account first (it only takes 5 minutes).

Please follow this link to register:

Once registered, click on “Events”, select DMC, and choose your preferred volunteer location.

Option 2:
If you’ve volunteered with us before and already have an account, log in here:

Go to the “Events” tab and choose DMC.

This is our 12th Dublin Mountains Challenge, and it’s shaping up to be the best one yet — but we can’t do it without you.

Proposed Changes to the motability scheme risk disadvantaging people with a disability

Protect Mobility, Independence and Sport. A letter from our Head of Fundraising

Recently announced changes to the Motability Scheme will make it more expensive and less flexible for many disabled people to access the vehicles they rely on. For those who depend on their transport to stay active, attend training, compete, or volunteer, this could have a significant impact.

At WheelPower, we’re concerned about what this means for disabled athletes, and for the future of disabled sport.
