Our volunteers spent the weekend supporting events in London: Women's Six Nations Rugby at Twickenham Allianz Stadium, followed by London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday! We were out on a treatment centre, and supporting behind the scenes in the event control room. Thank you to the team for delivering life-saving first aid!

To finish a busy weekend, today we have had the privilege of supporting local Remembrance events in the Epsom & Mole Valley area. Two of our volunteers were also deployed in London providing management and radio communications support at the National Service of Remembrance.

On Saturday we also had volunteers at the Lady Mayor's Show in the City of London. The event is the oldest, longest and least rehearsed civic procession in the world and dates back to the 13th century. In 1886, the St John Ambulance Association carried out its first public duty at the Lord Mayor's Show, a year before the St John Ambulance Brigade was officially formed!

On Wednesday evening two of our volunteers supported St John cover of the Lewes Bonfire celebrations in Sussex - crewing an ambulance and in the medical control room. We are now preparing for a super busy weekend of fireworks and Remembrance events across Surrey and London!
