As Mental Health Awareness Week concludes, this year's theme reminds us to focus on "Action: for yourself, for someone else, for all of us."
For those in counselling, pastoral care, coaching and mentoring, the natural tendency is often to put others first. However, awareness of self-care only leads to real change when we put it into practice.
It is helpful to reflect on that order of priority. We encourage you to think of one small, practical action you can take for your own well-being today. By looking after yourself first, you are better able to support someone else and the wider community.
