I’ve come to learn that most people don’t know what to say to their friends or family going through cancer, all I can say is just carry on as usual and be yourself! If you can, then just be there either in person or on the phone and offer whatever time you can, even if you can’t help out in ways you would like to, time, conversation and/or some company are more valuable than anything else xx just make as many memories as you can! X

The outcome of the biopsy is that the legion is cancer in my bowel. Then the PET scan showed that it’s aggressive and I also have over 50 polyps in my bowel which can turn cancerous at any time most of which are not the usual 2mm in size, but 35 to 45mm. This result means that I only have one safe option which is a 7 hour operation (without complications) to remove my whole bowel and a**s and stitch up my bum hole, then fit me with a stoma bag for life. This is the only way to ensure that cancer doesn’t get into my bowel again.
I’m dreading the procedure it’s going to be a real pain in the ass, but after the 30th June when the surgery is complete I won’t give a s**t 💩 anymore. All jokes aside it was only due to me knowing that something was wrong in the first place.
In case you are wondering what the signals were that made me think that there was a sincere problem, it is painful going to the toilet, I have pain in my back and in my stomach, all of which were going on too long.

Another thing to remember is that it’s a myth that cancer isn’t painful. All of my cancers have been painful and uncomfortable, but it can be painless too.
My fiance is working on getting PET scans much more available to people who have concerns of maybe having cancer, rather than having to wait until a diagnosis to get one.
He is attempting to make the system better and more effective to all, thus reducing from 1 in 2 people to hopefully 1 in 100 people having cancer, as well as increasing life expectancy for cancer patients to over 20 years with more effective systems and ongoing care.

Hey all my girls and guys, I’m in need of all your support right now, I’ve tried calling a few of you but either you’re busy or just don’t answer me, have I done anything to upset you? Or are you just lost for words?

It was really interesting yesterday having my PET scan. I learned that not only does it detect any cancers or abnormalities in your body, it also detects how aggressive it is too. It takes 3 to 5 days for the results to be sent to my care team, so although I’ve got my care plan meeting on Tuesday I need to let them know that the results are still awaiting from the scan.
Things to be aware of when going for a PET scan…
1 - there may be delays if the unit is running behind schedule
2 - you are allowed to drink water after you’ve started fasting, right up until they do the scan
3 - it takes approximately 90 minutes once called through before the scan is done, this is to go through all the necessary questions and to cannulate you and put the dye into you, the dye takes an hour to go around your body

Update**** I had a CT scan on Wednesday and today I have a PET scan to find out exactly what’s going on in my body.
I also received a telephone call 📞 yesterday arranging my face to face appointment on Tuesday 10th June to discuss all scan results and my care plan…
I’m so nervous but needs to be done.

Hello everybody, yesterday after months of discomfort since last year I had my third colonoscopy with polypectomy. It has been confirmed that there is a suspicious legion in my bowel that looks like it’s cancer.
I have been expressing my concern for over 5 months that I believe that I have bowel cancer.
I was right when I suspected I had breast cancer in 2022, then they found a cancerous polyp and removed 90% of it on 2nd January.
I was in a meeting with Mr Gupta back in January where he informed me that I had bowel cancer and would need surgery to remove a section of my bowel, however 2 weeks later I was faced by MR West who said the complete opposite that the cancer was just in a polyp and they had already removed the cancer.
5 months on… I am being told that it is bowel cancer just waiting on the biopsy to confirm this.

I’ve been constantly complaining of the pain I am experiencing since January and they finally made an appointment for yesterday 29th May 2025.

I am now riddled with polyps that could turn cancerous at any time along with a big legion that is virtually already confirmed as bowel cancer.

If you’re in doubt of anything to do with your body, please get checked out. It doesn’t mean that you will have cancer but it could be.
