'There comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they are falling in.' Desmond Tutu

At EmotionALL I provide fun, upbeat, engaging, and interactive - 1:1, Group, and bespoke emotional & self-development coaching opportunities, for children, teens, and those that care for, raise, and educate them. I also provide coaching opportunities for those not raising and supporting children and young people too! I provide interactive packages both at your HOME or AWAY (where I can bring an interactive experience on zoom)

Check website for all additional and up to date info - www.paulinelawson.co.uk - and a whole host of testimonials. On the website you can contact me through the CONTACT ME Booking Form. Our thoughts, feelings, and emotions drive our output and behaviours. At EmotionAll I believe in going 'upstream' and working with those thoughts, feelings, and emotions as opposed to popping a sticky plaster over the output and the emotions. I walk alongside people from all walks of life, providing the supports and scaffolds needed, until they have the skills to go it alone! I always start with a Complimentary Discovery call and we can together decide on the best course of actions. We all have emotions and we just need to learn to work WITH then in healthier and more helpful ways! No one size fits all, and this is why each school package, group package, 1:1 package are all created in a bespoke way, following on from consultation. I can bring the fun that supports children to learn and also work with the teen that is 'too cool' for anything that makes them feel self-conscious. I use my own skills, knowledge, experience, and extensive qualifications, to bring my Creative Coaching to yourself, your workplace, or your family. Book a Discovery Call today!

Did you know I can offer a helpful payment plan if you book a B.R.E.A.T.H.E. CREATIVE COACHING PACKAGE.
I understand that we have lots of demands on our money and may not be able to pay the whole amount in one go. I can be flexible and split the overall payment in two at no extra cost!
Just ask.

There will be a little price rise after the Oct break - but if you have have your discovery call date in the diary before the break the current price will be honoured

A little image I put together …

The Rights of the Child comes from …

United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). A legally binding international human rights treaty that outlines the civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights of all children worldwide.

The Convention has 54 articles that cover all aspects of a child's life.

You may have used it in schools yourself or hear your children talking about school projects and class charters, generally based around this.

In the mainstream press there is often some misconceptions about The Rights of the Child and that is conditional on our children upholding certain responsibilities … however the rights are not conditions.
They just are!

Children have these rights the moment they are born, and in that moment there are no responsibilities, and this continues.

Learning and building responsibily is key … but very separate from these unconditional rights!

On Tuesday Keith and I were at our optician and afterwards we decided to have a wagamamas for our dinner!

Sometimes those impromptu dinners are the best.

I hadn’t got dressed up, in fact in not sure I has even sorted my hair, and I had gym clothes on (the gym was on my plan earlier in the day - but it didn’t happen 😜).

Did it matter - nope - Wagamama dinner was still delicious

I was sad to see teachers still recommending reward charts as a go-to strategy.

We honestly need to move on.
And not just in schools - but in our homes and society too.

Extrinsic rewards and behaviourist approaches don’t build real motivation – they just teach children to chase the next sticker, the next treat, the next bribe. And what happens when the rewards stop.

In schools, in homes, in society, we see so many children being ‘motivated’ by rewards – but motivated for what.
For more rewards.
Not for learning, not for growth, not for the joy of being part of a community.

These behaviourist rewards were created to gain compliance and motivation in labs with rats, pigeons, and others small animals … then this broke out into the mainstream world to gain compliance and motivation in us, and especially our children.
We really need to let this go.

It really is time to break the cycle – to stop relying on those carrots and sticks – and instead to nurture curiosity, self-regulation and a genuine sense of belonging.

To create spaces where children thrive in the longer term, feel those intrinsic rewards, and because they want to, and not because there’s a prize at the end.
