Mental Health Awareness Week 11th-17th May – FREE CLASS OFFER AT SHAMBHALA
This year’s mental health awareness week is concentrating on ‘mindfulness’
Research suggests mindfulness practice can help people to manage stress and anxiety, boost the immune system, help us respond to difficult situations 'mindfully' rather than reacting irrationally and with anger, and improve communication skills. The evidence supporting the benefits of mindfulness is growing weekly as it is increasingly used to help people manage conditions as diverse as PTSD, cancer, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, addiction and eating disorders.
Here at Shambhala our Yoga classes encourage mindfulness; by paying attention and noticing body, mind and breath as we move in and out (and hold) postures.
We also hold a regular mindfulness class every Sunday evening at 6:15pm. Adrian Wright is our mindfulness teacher and is also running an ‘Introduction to Mindfulness’ afternoon on Sunday May 10th 2pm-5pm.
If you know of anyone who has yet to try our classes at Shambhala and would like to feel better about themselves then bring them along to any daytime yoga or mindfulness class for FREE during the week 11th -17th May. Come along or phone to book your free class, just mention this piece of Facebook. 01702 478924
