🩸 BLEED KIT USED 🩸

I have just had notification from South Central Ambulance Service that one of the Bleed Kits in Oxfordshire has been successfully used.
A major bleed occurred after a person tripped and became impaled on some metal railings. The injuries were extremely life threatening.
A member of the public accessed the Bleed Kit from the 999 call and managed to stem the bleed until the emergency services arrived. The injured person was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for major surgery and is now thankfully on the way to recovery 🙏
I will make sure this Kit is back emergency ready again asap ❤️

🩸 There is now a Bleed Control Kit located at the Co-op in Honeybourne.
This Kit is now registered with the West Midlands Ambulance Service for public use.
A Bleed Kit can be used for any catastrophic bleed that could be from a work injury, sporting injury, road accident, dog bite, trip or a fall or a weapon etc. ❤️

🩸 Thank you so much to Turtle Medical. Ordered some Daniel Baird Bleed Control Kits yesterday and they arrived today. The fantastic Caroline Willgoose Ne-Turner is using the one Kit in memory of Harvey Willgoose for a TV appearance. The other 3 kits will be going out and will be registered with the ambulance service to help save lives from any catastrophic bleeds ❤️

🩸 Thank you so much to the brilliant Councillor Andy Graham, who has purchased 5 Bleed Control Kits for Oxfordshire.
The 5 areas he has chosen for the Bleed Kits to be placed in are- Woodstock, Stonesfield, Combe, Tackley & Wootton.
These Kits are being placed, and will also be registered from tomorrow for emergency public use ❤️
