Sometimes the risk of doing something new, or working with someone new can stop you from making progress and being successful.
Sound familiar?
As much as new experiences excite us, they also make us afraid, so we procrastinate or just don’t do it at all. But who’s that hurting? Who isn’t making a positive change?
I get it. It’s why here at Posture Up Wellbeing we have a happiness guarantee. We refund 100% of your investment if you are not satisfied within the first month of signing up to our programme.
We have a host of videos and blogs to help you be the best you can be with simple tips to increase your productivity and decrease your anxiety.
Get in touch today, tell me how you’re getting on.
🤞🏽❤️

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is this…

Don’t work hard, work smart.

What does this mean?
It means you don’t have to work a 60 hour week to be productive. Taking breaks is good for you, even an occasional two -three hours in the middle of the day. It’s not slacking, because when you get back to your desk, you’re immediately able to work with a clearer-thinking brain and better strategies.

Over the years, I’ve found the only way to work smart is by making sure your inner and outer core are both strong. Once you start looking after yourself, things just fall into place, one by one, like the pieces of a puzzle slotting together.

I’m curious, what’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Lots of love,
Pete

Ever wish you could go back in time and tell yourself something you now know better? Same!
If I could go back in time, I’d tell my former self that it’s ok to be vulnerable. L Rugby and professional wrestling took me through an alpha-led environment that stopped me from speaking out about insecurities and issues.

The best medicine there is? Talking.
Your mental health will play a huge role in how you feel, think and act in your work space. It DIRECTLY affects your productivity and creativity.

Get talking to people you trust and when there is nobody around and you feel fizzy and restless - get moving.

Have you checked in with yourself this Monday morning?

How are you FEELING? Sometimes it’s hard to connect with others and even yourself. We know this is even harder when you are a person of colour and live somewhere like the south west - where it’s beautiful, a great quality of life…but just a wee bit lacking in diversity, occasionally making you feel isolated…

Maybe you’ve also got a crick in your neck or a ping in your hip, and it’s annoying & getting in the way of you just being.

Well, we have something to help you connect and to look forward to 👇🏽

It’s a FREE event by us, hosted by Spirit Of Ubuntu who want to create a safe space for people of colour.

Tickets just dropped 🦾 Sign up and send this to every person of colour you know 🥰

Date: Sunday, July 4. Time: 10am

Everybody needs reminders like this 💚
Wellness doesn’t just mean taking care of your mind and body. It also means giving yourself permission to NOT be everything for everybody, except you 💚
We’re adding to our website soon, and will be putting up videos to help relieve aches and pains you might have- maybe because of your home office set up. better posture leads to feeling better, and that is what it’s all about.

“I’m just going to finish this email before bed”

“I can’t have lunch today, I’ve got Zoom calls back-to-back.”

“My back hurts because I’ve been sitting at my desk all day”

“I need a break from my screen, but not sure how to do that, with all the work I have to get done.”

How many of these statements have you said or felt?

At Posture Up Wellbeing, we help businesses be more productive, while also taking care of their employees’ wellbeing. Here’s strength, conditioning and wellbeing coach Pete Howard on why he started the company:

We’re really into wellbeing 💚 and would love to help you make informed choices about the workouts you do.
Before you start training, always ask yourself “what is the result I want?”
We think your number one priority when starting training is happiness, and what makes us happy is WEIGHTS.
Contrary to popular belief (?!) weights do not make you huge - and women you won’t suddenly have a man’s body shape!
We do, however, have it on good authority (an unscientific survey of 30 women) doing bench presses will ease your period pain during your tome of the month - try it, we’d love your feedback 💪🏼
💚
Our strength, conditioning and wellbeing expert Pete Howard made this video to tell you exactly why you should be using weights in your overall training 👇🏽

We always feel guilty looking after ourselves, putting everyone else first - our family, friends, line managers, absolutely everyone else. Then we’re tired far too early in the evening, with no scope for things we enjoy. What we’ll do instead is check out Instagram or Facebook and then we’re swiping too much, looking at everyone else’s perfect lives and wondering when our time will come. Your time is NOW. YOU are important and your needs must be met too. Take just 5 minutes in the middle of the day for you, even if it’s just to make a cup of tea mindfully or walk outside and feel the air on your cheeks. Mindful activity has been scientifically proven to lessen the effects of depression. Build this YOU TIME up to 5 times a day. With our 5 X 5 model, you’ll start thinking more productively and find yourself less stressed.
