Last week at EPIC Solutions we embraced the festive spirit with Christmas Jumper Day in the office. From colourful knits to bold holiday patterns, the team showed up in full seasonal style - fuelled, of course, by a steady flow of mince pies and sweet treats.

Moments like these remind us how valuable it is to come together, celebrate one another, and appreciate the colleagues and clients who make our work truly meaningful.

Thank you to our grateful client who donated a giant cuddly panda to join the other pandas that are our waiting room favourites. Not sure what Ebony, our emotional support dog made of it!

In the New Year for anyone visiting EPIC we will have an ideas box to suggest names for all of our pandas so get thinking!

EPIC are delighted to introduce Tom Roberts, our new Office Manager.

Tom has worked for over twelve years in management across organisations in wide ranging sectors including fashion, hospitality, travel and healthcare. He brings a wealth of experience in customer service and people management and is both enthusiastic and committed to creating a welcoming, organised, and supportive environment for the children, young people, and families who use EPIC services.

To all EPIC clients on medication please note we are closed from Xmas eve 2pm to 2nd January 9am. Please check to see if you will need a repeat prescription to cover this period.

All requests via our website will need to be submitted before the end of this week to allow for processing and Christmas postage times. Prescriptions that will be collected in person must be ordered by 16th December at the latest.

Is your child/young person struggling with avoidant, restrictive food intake (ARFID)? EPIC are here to help with our paediatric and dietetic led service offering dietitian advice, nutritional analysis and physical health review with support from our multidisciplinary team to manage behaviours to achieve nutritional goals and reduced stress around eating. This includes sensory assessment and input, psychological and family based support.

South West Autism Support Services offer a range of support services highly recommended by EPIC, including their alternative education provision which is suitable for any young person with Emotionally Based School Avoidance (ESBA) due to high levels of anxiety including social, anticipatory, and sensory. Their small, calm Exeter centre provides an ideal environment with resources including sensory room, music room, gaming area, social area, Lego therapy, kitchen area and art/craft room. They have teachers, mentors, support assistants, speech and language therapist and assistance dogs, all experienced in supporting the mental health and well-being of young people with extreme anxiety. They can offer up to 15 hours a week or as little as 1 hour, always working at the young person’s pace.

There are current spaces available in their fortnightly group for boys (10-16 yrs) and their monthly girls groups (junior and senior) on Wednesdays, their young adults group (16-25 yrs) fortnightly on Tuesdays 7-9pm, and their ‘Quietly creative’ group for young people with situational mutism on Thursdays 6-7pm. Watch this space as they may also be providing Saturday groups in 2026.

EPIC are delighted to announce a collaboration with Peninsula Medical Practice, a new, GP led private healthcare practice recently opened at no. 1, Waterloo Court, just off junction 27 of M5.

They provide accessible, personalised medical care including GP consultations, blood tests, health checks, minor procedures, and men’s and women’s health services. The team at Peninsula Medical Practice are supporting EPIC by offering local, friendly and flexible access to blood testing and other investigations for children and young people where needed to support our pathways of care, also general GP services to whole families.

Watch this space as we explore possibilities for even closer collaboration with the expansion into our new premises!
