Starting Couch to 5K… again 💪

This winter has been a full-on game of germ ping pong at home — you know how it goes when little ones bring everything back with them. But I’m not giving up.

Yesterday, I started again. And honestly? I loved it.
The momentum felt great. I even went out for a second run, bumped into a friend for a lovely chat, then carried on running.

This is your reminder: it’s okay to restart. Again and again if you need to.

Here’s to fresh air, better weather, and moving for wellbeing 🌿🏃‍♀️

What is it actually like to join Tension Release Yoga?

If you’ve tried yoga before and felt rushed, out of breath, pushed too far or like you never really understood it…
this is not that.

Many women come to this practice after feeling disconnected in busy classes, where there is little time to slow down, breathe or truly feel what’s happening in the body.

Here’s what they say after experiencing it differently:

A few words from the men who have been coming to the sessions lately…

This is something I’m seeing more and more — men carrying a lot in the body, often without realising how deeply it’s set in.

My teaching combines traditional Hatha yoga, Iyengar-inspired adjustments, diaphragmatic breathing and therapeutic sound to support deep tension release and nervous system rest.

Many women come to restore and rebalance, while more men are discovering yoga as a practical way to work with stiffness and stress.

YOGA FOR STIFF MEN – DEEP TENSION RELEASE

Do you feel tight in the hips, back or shoulders?

Many men carry deep tension in the body from:

• sitting at a desk for long hours
• running or cycling
• rowing
• rugby training
• everyday stress

Over time this creates tight hips, stiff hamstrings and lower back tension.

This session is designed specifically for men who want to release deep physical tension and move more freely again.

What we will do

This is a practical yoga session, focused on releasing tension and improving mobility.

We will work with:

• deep hip and spine stretches
• yoga belts and blocks
• gravity-assisted positions
• diaphragmatic breathing
• guided tension release techniques

This method is inspired by traditional Hatha yoga and Iyengar-style alignment, helping the body safely open even if you are stiff.

No flexibility required. Beginners welcome.

Ideal for:

✔ rugby players
✔ desk workers
✔ men who feel stiff or stressed
