It isn't just the events that keep us busy during the summer, we deliver training to our clients throughout the year.

This past month has been very varied, with some brilliant enthusiastic learners making courses enjoyable to run.

Now that the dust has literally settled after the weekend, we can reflect on a job well done.

Our Event Medical Team were at the Overlord Show, and had the busiest event we have ever covered. Nearly 50 patients over 3 days, mainly due to the extreme heat and people not knowing their limits and ignoring health warnings.

The Overlord team did amazingly at providing water points and putting messages out, most at the show did heed the advice. Please look after yourselves out there! 🌞 🌞 πŸ₯΅

During the weekend we spent sometime with Get Obliterated handing over our 3rd donation of equipment for the brave medics out in Ukraine. This equipment is much needed at the frontline, if you have recently out of date or not required equipment, please donate. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ πŸš‘ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦.

Our team are out this weekend at the Overlord Show, Denmead, Hampshire.

The hot weather has definitely arrived, please make sure you keep hydrated, dress appropriately, and seek shade often. So many people are not taking the the weather warning seriously and are ending up need in our assistance.

It has been fantastic working with the staff at Clovergrove over the past couple of weeks, this week has seen them complete their Emergency First Aid at Work certificates, and the 2nd half pf them doing their Manual Handling training.

Knowing First Aid is not just an "at work" tick box exercise, it's an important life skill.

We recently spoke to several people who were fortunate enough to now be retired, and they wanted a course that would be more suited to them.

So we removed the "at work" elements and developed our Family First Aider course. We cover:

- Paediatric and Adult elements
- CPR and Defibrillators
- Stroke Assessment
- Anaphylaxis
- Heart Attack
- Choking
- and much, much more.

Smaller class groups make for a relaxed enjoyable learning environment.

Our course instructor is a Paramedic with nearly 25 years frontline ambulance experience.

Next Course Location:

The Victory Hall, Warsash, Hampshire.

(30 mins for lunch)

The last couple of weeks have seen some really fun courses.

Congratulations to the team at SSPW for all passing their Emergency First Aid at Work, and to the first group of staff at Clover Grove Residential Home who completed their Manual Handling (Theory and Practical) Course.

We are able to bring our equipment to your work place, making it easier for you to get your staff trained. The EFaW was even split over two evenings to allow the centre to carry on with the amazing work SSPW do.

Yesterday was a fantastic day's training at SARC, we had some really great discussions including Emergency Action Plans, a full day of first aid within the sport setting.

Preparing for the worst, means that if the unthinkable does happen, you have a plan, people know their roles, the quicker we can act the greater the chance of survival.
