Knowing First Aid is not just an "at work" tick box exercise, it's an important life skill.

We recently spoke to several people who were fortunate enough to now be retired, and they wanted a course that would be more suited to them.

So we removed the "at work" elements and developed our Family First Aider course. We cover:

- Paediatric and Adult elements
- CPR and Defibrillators
- Stroke Assessment
- Anaphylaxis
- Heart Attack
- Choking
- and much, much more.

Smaller class groups make for a relaxed enjoyable learning environment.

Our course instructor is a Paramedic with nearly 25 years frontline ambulance experience.

The last couple of weeks have seen some really fun courses.

Congratulations to the team at SSPW for all passing their Emergency First Aid at Work, and to the first group of staff at Clover Grove Residential Home who completed their Manual Handling (Theory and Practical) Course.

We are able to bring our equipment to your work place, making it easier for you to get your staff trained. The EFaW was even split over two evenings to allow the centre to carry on with the amazing work SSPW do.

Yesterday was a fantastic day's training at SARC, we had some really great discussions including Emergency Action Plans, a full day of first aid within the sport setting.

Preparing for the worst, means that if the unthinkable does happen, you have a plan, people know their roles, the quicker we can act the greater the chance of survival.

Well we have hit the ground running in 2026!!

Nikki from Rig Lite Design Ltd successfully completed her First Aid at Work Qualification, Congratulations Nikki.

Nikki said; "A great course, expertly delivered"

Our 1 and 3 day "at work" first aid courses including the latest 2025 Resuscitation Council Guidelines. Also, with the introduction in 2026 of more stringent "Life Threatening Bleed" training to First Aid at Work courses, Nikki got to practice serious wound packing with our new bleeding kit. With the system pressurised it demonstrates just how hard it can be with everything soaked in blood, fake oh course. 🚑

Since then we have had a team deliver Emergency Paediatric First Aid training to 29 teacher on their inset day. And our lead instructor, Dan, has helped deliver another English Football Association ITMMiF course at Solent University. ⚽️

Tomorrow we release our open course training dates for 2026, remember we can also work to your needs, run closed courses for groups or companies, even come to your location for a group if your area is suitable.

With the final event of 2025 happening this evening it is time to reflect on the last year. From blister plasters to flipped aircraft, 2025 has had it all.

We would like to thank all our customers, be they companies needing our training expertise or event organisers needing our Event Medical Team.

Thank you all we look forward to working with and supporting you in 2026.

I personally would also like to mention our highly professional team (Trainers and Medical Team). They rise to every task I set them with only minimal moaning, and a good chunk of banter. They really do make the standard we deliver as high as we possibly can, with 2026 seeing us raise that bar even higher. Thank you 💚

We had the privilege of chatting to those attending The Warsash Band's Christmas concerts at the weekend about our first aid courses (new announcement in 2026!) whilst we provided medical cover.

Two amazing nights with fantastic music, such talent and right on our doorstep. If you haven't seen The Warsash Band in concert i definitely recommend it. 🎺 📯 🪈
