🔬 What is an OCT scan, and why is it so important?
An OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scan is one of the most advanced tools in modern eye care.
It uses light waves to create a highly detailed, cross-sectional 3D image of the back of your eye, including the retina and optic nerve. Think of it as an MRI for your eyes, but quick, painless and non-invasive.
This level of detail allows us to detect early signs of conditions such as:
• Glaucoma
• Macular degeneration
• Diabetic eye disease
• Retinal tears or abnormalities
Often before you notice any symptoms at all.
Many serious eye conditions develop silently. By the time vision changes occur, damage may already have happened. OCT scanning helps us identify problems earlier, monitor changes more accurately, and act quickly to protect your sight.
👁️ Early detection doesn’t just preserve vision, it protects independence, confidence and quality of life.
Our Deluxe Membership includes OCT scans as part of your routine care, giving you added peace of mind at every appointment.
