I’m pleased to share that my new website is now live, and with it comes online booking for appointments.

You can now book not just clinic appointments at the Fairford Therapy Centre but also now home visits within a 5-mile radius of Faringdon directly through the website.

Online booking allows you to view available appointments and choose a time that suits you, whether you prefer to attend the clinic or have treatment in the comfort of your own home.

Please note:
Home visits in the Fairford area are reserved for housebound patients only. These appointments cannot be booked online and must be arranged directly with me.

A very busy morning at Swindon Night Shelter this morning with Tracey from Foot and Ear Healthcare by Tracey, Melanie from Hardy Foot Health and Kate from Footworks offering free foot care to 14 of the service users this morning!

We had lots of interesting conversations and giggles along the way.

As we left we also got a round of applause from everyone which was lovely!

“🚨 Community Alert: Antisocial Behaviour in Faringdon 🚨

I feel it’s necessary to share this email from a local resident—one of several Faringdon neighbours being targeted by young people who seem to have nothing better to do than cause distress.

If mums and dads mention it at home, it might just put a stop to it. With police endeavouring to patrol more often, that may help too.

“Good afternoon,
I want to make you aware of antisocial behaviour happening on my estate in Faringdon.
Over the past month, my front door has been deliberately kicked several times—often on a Saturday evening, but during the week as well. At first, I thought something had collapsed inside my home, but it soon became clear the thudding was intentional.

My neighbours and the police are now aware.

I’ve since learned this is part of a TikTok ‘door kicking challenge,’ where one youth kicks the door while another films it. I’ve seen hooded youths loitering and pointing phones at houses, and several residents have reported the same.

One elderly neighbour with heart issues was badly shaken after experiencing it.

It sounds exactly like someone is trying to break in—and it’s causing real anguish.

Residents need to be aware.

Please look out for each other and report anything suspicious. The more eyes watching, the quicker this nonsense stops.”

Let’s stand together on this. If you see something, say something. And if you’re a parent or carer, please talk to your young people—this isn’t a prank, it’s frightening and harmful.”

A little note about appointment fees 💛

I completely understand that, as a patient, it can sometimes feel like you’re paying “just for the time” or “just for the treatment carried out on the day”.

In reality, a foot health appointment fee reflects much more than what happens in the chair.

It also includes things you don’t always see, such as:
• professional training and continued learning
• high standards of sterilisation and infection control
• specialist instruments, equipment and clinical products
• insurance and professional compliance
• your clinical notes and record keeping
• preparation and clean-down time before and after each appointment

All of this is part of providing safe, consistent, professional care — and ensuring every patient is treated with the time, attention and standards they deserve.

It’s nearly that time of year when the mince pies call, the twinkly lights go up… and even I take a little break to rest my clippers and recharge!

On Friday myself and Melanie from Hardy Foot Health spent a couple of hours at Swindon Night Shelter volunteering with Forgotten Feet - Helping Homeless Feet seeing some lovely people who most definitely needed our services.
