Despite a poor prognosis due to the open nature of the injury, the owners elected to try and save the leg, so we reconstructed the hock and placed a triangular external fixator to maintain the stability for 4-5 weeks

Pax the Spaniel had a small split or Fissure in his lower humerus. A condition often present from birth in Spaniels. This is called a HIF. We managed to place a screw in exactly the right place to limit movement across the fissure and hopefully prevent a fracture!

Francis slipped a disc in her back, and became paralysed over the Easter weekend. We operated to relieve the pressure and remove the slipped disc and all the debris compressing the cord. Three days later - walking 👍😁

Rocky fractured his arm falling off a sofa!! We managed to put it back together at with a transcondylar screw and a Evolox plate from All good so far!!

Popped over to Bermuda this week to try and help out Willow who had a chronic luxation of the shoulder. Thanks to the fantastic team at for all their help and welcome and to for providing the excellent implants we used to arthrodese ( fuse) Willow’s shoulder. A long period of recovery is about to begin😁👍👍

Peggy the Dachshund had a very nasty slipped disc at her C2-C3 space. Happily we removed it without problems today and here she is recovering well!!👍😁

It seems to be Metacarpal week! This is Brian, who was stomped on by a horse!! ( not a cow like Dolly!!). He was small enough and his fractures less comminuted than Dolly’s so we could place 4 x Toggle pins instead which seem to have done the trick!!

This is DOLLY! The cutest Bull Terrier known to man. Stepped on by a cow, she needed her hand fixing yesterday with a toggle pin and two mini plates. Hopefully she heals well 👍😁
