A bit about us.....
Apple & Rose was founded by close friends Georgie Corr and Chelsea O'Hara. Georgie has always been into using creativity to inspire others, especially through her role as an occupational therapist before starting maternity leave. After the birth of her daughter Isla, in March, she couldn't find what she wanted to decorate her nursery room... 'I decided I'd dust off the sewing machine and attempt to make my own blinds and bouncer chair cover for the nursery. I was very proud of my original and bespoke additions, and seeing as I had more time on my hands, started to think about making more items.'
It wasn't until her close friend, and Isla's Godmother, Chelsea, returned from a trip to New York, the big apple, with a beautiful baby bib for Isla, did the idea to create their own beautiful and affordable gifts begin.
'After talking through our passions for homemade items, we came together to start making things for family and friends, hoping others looking for unique and beautiful keepsakes would want them too.' Chelsea
Chelsea, a style conscious and hard working northern lass, was inspired by the enticing wares found in New York, using delicious fabrics with attention to detail. She loved the uniqueness and beauty in the homemade items and started to plan how she could begin creating decorations for her upcoming wedding. This passion for all things beautiful is where the 'apple' in the name comes from.
'We wanted to start something we believed in and would bring joy to others, but most of all, something my new daughter would be proud of, so we decided it was right to use my inspiration for the company name too, which is my little girl, Isla Rose.' Georgie
