Country Practice

Country Practice Country Practice is based at Brogdale Farm in Faversham. We provide a range of treatments and products to improve a person’s physical and emotional well-being.

Our services include facials, massages, aromatherapy, reflexology, hypnotherapy and more. Country Practice came into being more than 20 years ago. The founder, Jane Clarke says: "I wanted to create somewhere that was tranquil, imbued a sense of calm, and where only the best treatments were offered. I did not want to create anything that was like a spa or a beauty salon, not because I don’t like them but simply because it didn’t reflect what I wanted to offer. Giving clients time is one of the most important things for me. Life is fast paced and full of noise, so Country Practice is an oasis of quiet and calm. Clients do still talk if they wish, but mostly they drift off into a restful state. Keeping up to date with modern thinking with ongoing study and skills’ training keeps our outlook fresh and treatments at the highest level. Again, working with client’s own lives and working patterns is considered, reflected in our offering three long days in the week, Saturdays and twice a month, Sunday treatments. There is free parking at Brogdale Farm which removes anxiety about ticket times, again, adding to a sense of calm. All therapists are passionate about what they do and together we offer our clients focused treatments, backed by years of experience and training, tailor made to suit their requirements." Covid Update:
At Country Practice, we are delighted to welcome clients, but our Covid precautions remain in place. All staff are wearing face protectors and our rooms and equipment are sanitised between customers. Our current policy is that we are able to treat clients who are vaccinated. This is to protect vulnerable staff and clients. We thank our clients for their understanding and cooperation

Why you should give Daoyin Tao a try!

This treatment is deeply relaxing. Not only are the head, face, neck and shoulders worked on, but as they are, ripples of relaxation travel throughout the whole body. It’s FABULOUS and a treatment to be experienced rather than explained. Clients report on the deep sense of well-being, restored health and serenity which they carry with them long after treatment.

A word on the sale of Brogdale Farm

You may well have heard that tenants at Brogdale have been informed that Brogdale Farm is up for sale.

There seems to have been considerable interest so far, and we have been advised that our tenancy agreements are ‘safe’. However, we also know that this is a promise that cannot be made by any vendor.

Any new purchaser will have their own ideas on how they wish to develop Brogdale Farm, so at this stage all we can do is assure our clients that we are operating as normal, hope to continue doing so, and that we will keep you informed.

All hail the fabulous cherry!

Cherries are a fabulous fruit. Low in calories, full of fibre, packed full of vitamins and minerals and all sorts of other ‘good for you stuff’.

Rich in vitamins A, C and K, they help support hair, skin and nails, are naturally anti-inflammatory, help reduce high blood pressure, and studies have supported their benefits for managing cardiovascular disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease and reducing the risk of cancer.

Delicious to nibble on, they can also be purchased in drink and tablet form to help manage inflammation by breaking down, for example, the crystals that cause painful joints with arthritis.

Now that cherry season is nearly upon us, check out our blog on our website for some delicious cherry recipes.

Let's talk sunscreen! 😎

Sunscreen really does reduce the risk of skin cancer

Skin cells are very good at regenerating and healing, but UVA and UVB rays attack the basal layer, that’s where they start out on their journey, and once distorted by harmful rays, cells struggle to maintain their integrity, become seriously damaged, with resulting skin problems.

Sunscreen is a good investment. Purchasing a broad-spectrum product protects skin from both UVA and UVB rays.

You should be using sunscreen all year round. Not only does it reduce the risk of skin cancer, it also protects your skin from becoming photosensitive, which causes premature ageing of the skin.

For more information and advice on sunscreen including our recommendations on the best products available, check our blog on our website.
