We are well into the Summer season of yoga at Hatfield Forest and unfortunately we only have two more sessions to go! If you have been thinking of joining us please do book your spots on the Hatfield Forest website and start your Wednesday the best way possible🧘‍♂️.

Yoga in the forest is an amazing and calming experience. We practice under a canopy of ancient oaks by the lake in the early morning sunlight. It is a truly special way to start your day.

A very belated thank you to all the members of the Hatfield Forest team ,who seamlessly help the yoga sessions to take place each summer. They are so kind and friendly and make everyone feel welcomed.
Our last session saw us taking a deep dive into all things hips. The hips can hold a lot of tension, not only through repetitive movements, sports or injury but also through our emotions. We spent quite a lot of time working our way slowly and methodically into and around the hips gradually making our way into poses such as lizard and winged dragon and eventually we came into our own version of hanumanasana (splits! )To ensure balance we finished with rabbit pose and camel simultaneously stretching the back and front of the body. We left feeling lighter and freer in body and mind.
It is a short season of yoga at the forest mainly due to the weather but a very worthwhile one and something I love to do.
Thank you to everyone who came along and enjoyed the wonderful surroundings and peaceful start to the day.

This summer at
the Forest we have been extremely lucky with the weather and tomorrow is no exception, the forecast is warm and dry. The last two weeks we have focused on spinal mobility alongside folds and twists.Folding and twisting is notoriously good for bringing balance into your body and aiding digestion and metabolism.

Last week at the Forest it was another glorious morning . As dappled light filtered though the oak leaves and shimmered on the lake , we turned our attention to the 5 fundamental movements of the spine.We flowed through extension, flexion, rotation, axil and lateral extension using our breath to guide us. Also leaving plenty of time for our floor work, we rocked the baby and answered the phone 😂. If you know , you know! Looking forward to seeing everyone again this Wednesday for more relaxing and healing yoga by the lakeside in Hatfield Forest .

We were treated to the perfect morning on Wednesday at the Forest for our first yoga practice of the summer season. Greeted by old friends and new,it was so good to be back.
Our practice was a slow flow focusing on grounding and gratitude, taking in our surroundings sights and sounds with the sun on our faces and a cooling breeze challenging us in our balances. Rounded off by a catch up coffee and chat, I couldn't have asked for anything more. A special mention to Jill, Sharon and Taelor for coming to their first Forest yoga, hope to see you all again soon x The weather for next week looks set to be another perfect morning so get your tickets from The Hatfield Forest website now for tomorrow mornings practice!

Looking forward to our first Forest yoga session of the summer on Wednesday 7th August at 09.30. The car park opens at 09.00 so come early and get set up. Please bring your own mat and water. If you fancy a coffee or breakfast afterwards the cafe will be open at 10am.
There really is no better way to start your day . Tickets available on the Hatfield Forest website.

I’m so pleased and proud to be hosting yoga sessions at Hatfield forest during the summer again this year. Our first session is Wednesday 7th August and a change to the time will hopefully allow more people to join us for morning yoga in this special setting.

If you have been to yoga at the forest before you will know what an amazing and calming experience it is!Under a canopy of ancient oaks and by the lake, taking in the early morning sunlight practicing yoga is quite a special way to start your day.

Dates: Aug 07th, 14th, 21st, 28th & Sept 4th

Yoga: Starts 9.30am
Cafe: Opens 10am
