Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle, therapeutic massage technique designed to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid through the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system. The goal is to reduce swelling, detoxify the body, and support immune function.
The Lymphatic System is
A network of vessels and nodes that carry lymph—a clear fluid containing white blood cells, proteins, and waste products.
Unlike the circulatory system, lymph doesn’t have a pump (the heart); it moves through muscle contractions and body movement.
What Happens in a Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
I uses light, rhythmic, circular motions, often starting near the area where the major lymph nodes are found, and moving outward toward the extremities, pressure is very gentle—lighter than a traditional massage—because the lymph vessels are just under the skin.
(major lymph nodes are clustered in the neck, armpits, abdomen, groin & back of the knees ).
Common Benefits:
Reduces swelling and fluid retention (e.g., after surgery or injury)
Helps with lymphedema

This is a great all round treatment, also excellent for pre holiday prep and post holiday detoxing. 😀
