Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle, therapeutic massage technique designed to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid through the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system. The goal is to reduce swelling, detoxify the body, and support immune function.

The Lymphatic System is
A network of vessels and nodes that carry lymph—a clear fluid containing white blood cells, proteins, and waste products.
Unlike the circulatory system, lymph doesn’t have a pump (the heart); it moves through muscle contractions and body movement.
What Happens in a Lymphatic Drainage Massage?
I uses light, rhythmic, circular motions, often starting near the area where the major lymph nodes are found, and moving outward toward the extremities, pressure is very gentle—lighter than a traditional massage—because the lymph vessels are just under the skin.
(major lymph nodes are clustered in the neck, armpits, abdomen, groin & back of the knees ).

Common Benefits:
Reduces swelling and fluid retention (e.g., after surgery or injury)
Helps with lymphedema
May reduce sinus congestion
Supports detoxification
Promotes relaxation and stress relief
Improves skin tone
A really must post surgery as it reduces swelling and fluid retention, highly recommended treatment for recovery from any cosmetic surgery, including a full .

This is a great all round treatment, also excellent for pre holiday prep and post holiday detoxing. 😀

Stress can have a negative impact on our physical, emotional and mental health and wellbeing.
Massage therapy is a highly effective method for managing stress.
It works by targeting the body’s muscular, circulatory, and nervous systems to promote relaxation and well-being.

Benefits of Massage Therapy for Stress Management

Reducing Cortisol Levels
Cortisol is the body’s stress hormone. Massage has been shown to lower cortisol levels, helping you feel more relaxed.

Increases Serotonin and Dopamine. These are neurotransmitters associated with feelings of happiness and well-being.

A massage can help balance mood and improve overall emotional health.

Stress often causes muscle tightness, especially in the neck, shoulders, and back.
Massage eases tension, reduces pain, and improves flexibility.

Enhances Sleep Quality
Relaxation from massage can improve sleep patterns and combat insomnia caused by stress.

Promoting Mindfulness The rhythmic touch and quiet environment of a massage session can shift focus away from stressors. It’s a great way to practice being present and reconnecting with your body.

Aromatherapy can really have a positive effect, combing essential oils (like lavender or chamomile) with massage will enhance relaxation.

Deep Tissue Massage
Targets deeper muscle layers; effective for chronic tension.
Deep tissue can be slightly uncomfortable but beneficial for long-term stress relief.

Hot Stone Massage
Warm stones placed on the body help loosen muscles and calm the nervous system.

Reflexology focuses on pressure points in the feet, hands, or ears.
Can be deeply relaxing and beneficial for internal stress.

Communication is key to getting the best results from your therapy. Let me know if you’re feeling stressed or anxious or what you would like to achieve from your therapy. I will tailor the session accordingly.

Before any massage I conduct a full consultation to help you find the best type of massage or therapy that suits your specific symptoms or preferences (e.g., anxiety, muscle tension, trouble sleeping), this is in addition to the length of your chosen treatment, so if you book an hour appointment, expect to be with me for at least an hour and 20 minutes. Building a healthy therapeutic relationship is key to achieving the desired outcome for you.

What is Cupping Therapy?

It is a therapy that involves placing special cups on the skin to create suction. It’s had been used in traditional medicine for a long time especially in Chinese Medicine (TCM), Middle Eastern, and Eastern European practices—for pain relief, inflammation reduction, blood flow improvement, and relaxation.

How It Works:
• Cups (glass, bamboo, silicone, or plastic) are placed on the skin.
• Suction is created using heat (fire cupping) or a mechanical pump.
• The suction pulls the skin and underlying tissue into the cup.
• Cups are typically left in place for 5–15 minutes.

This allows for oxygenated and nutritionally rich blood to flow to your tissues & muscle fibres, and helps to release the fascia that may be adhered to your muscles.

Main uses are
• Muscle pain and tension
• Back and neck pain
• Migraines
• Anxiety and fatigue
• Respiratory issues (like asthma)

Cupping can be done as a stand alone treatment or as part of your massage therapy,
