For my newer followers, here is a description about what a BBL is!
The Beaded Birth Line is made up of around 36 carefully selected beads, mostly in glass. The beads move along the thread!
They represent the different phases of labour, birth and the immediate postnatal period. It also includes a clip on bead to depict the waters breaking!
It provides a useful teaching aid to explain the physiological and emotional effect of these phases and how long they might be
This works well with first time parents and for refreshing future births- it brings up deep discussions and works well for a method birth de-briefing
It is great to use with all families, but especially if there are language barriers
They are joyful to use with older siblings to explain what happens during labour!
The Beaded Birth lines comes in a pouch with a full guidance sheet with ideas for use and facilitation and a helpful quick glance guide too.

Are you looking for a supportive and creative outlet during your pregnancy, birth and parenting journey?

Join our 6-week Maternal Journal course at Frome Town Hall Cafe, designed to boost your well being through creative journaling.
No prior creative experience required!

Together, we'll explore different creative styles and techniques, providing a relaxing space for you to express yourself.

Our inclusive sessions welcome anyone who has experienced pregnancy, birth and caregiving (this includes partners!)

Whether you're expecting, or already have your little one in your arms, you're welcome to join us in the comfortable cafe-style room at the town hall.

You can come and look at the slings we have, but you can also bring your own for tips on optimal carrying!

Urg. Today was a massive eye roll day.
This kind of stuff is normal in my practice, but today just seemed ridiculous!

It is okay to ask what training your practitioner has in taking care of a breastfeeding woman.

I see misdiagnosis every week, lots of unnecessary antibiotics which has a ripple effect of its own and lots of deflated parents.

Thank you to all of my patrons that enable me to do this really important work. I’m going to buy a bottle of wine and cheers to you tonight !

I am desperately seeking new patrons as currently our group, Baby Connections Frome has run out of funding and I am financially unable to do it in a voluntary capacity any longer.

I know things are so tough for many, but if you could spare even £5 a month, and enough people did this together we could make this sustainable until we secure further funding.
