Male Survivors - Lincoln

This is a Support Group for Adult Male victims of sexual abuse. The Group will run sessions in the Lincoln area and comes under the auspices of the National Charity, Male Survivors .org. The Group Sessions do not address the specific issues and events of the members abuses but provide a safe place where an individual can express and discuss their current status and emotive events. In addition to the Group Sessions, I will be offering one-to-one Counselling where I will aim to guide individuals and signpost them towards long-term advice and support from appropriate third parties. I shall also be making Presentations to local Employer's Human Resources Departments and also to Local Social Groups, in order to raise their awareness of the services that the Group can provide to their Staff or to their Group Members. Additionally, there will be ongoing fund-raising projects to enable the Group to be sustained and developed. My late partner, Linda Harrison was a proud Healthcare Professional and I made a pledge to her that I would do work in the local community to aid people's well-being in the same spirit with which she undertook her duties. This, along with my being a victim of Childhood sexual abuse motivates to succeed in this endeavour.
