Something new is coming soon 🤍

I’m so excited to share that I’ve been working on my next book:

To You Who Got Quiet
A gentle guide to people-pleasing, the fawn response and coming back to yourself

This book is for the woman who learned to be the easy one.
The one who adapts, keeps the peace, says yes when she means no, and slowly loses touch with what she actually wants, needs, or feels.

It’s about understanding why people-pleasing and fawning often begin as ways to feel safe, accepted, or loved — and how, over time, they can leave us disconnected from ourselves.

Inside, I explore guilt, boundaries, the fear of disappointing others, seeking validation, delayed emotions, inner child work, and the process of learning to trust yourself again.

This isn’t about becoming harder or less caring.

It’s about learning that your kindness doesn’t have to come at the cost of yourself.

It’s about coming back to the parts of you that got quiet.

Coming soon 🤍

The Future of PinPoint Therapy

Following my own experience of Functional Neurological Disorder, my practice has naturally evolved towards gentler, nervous-system-informed work.

I'm still seeing clients for TCM Acupuncture, Massage, IEMT and Somatic led therapeutic support however I’ve enrolled on a Neuropsychology Certification course as part of the next stage of my work at PinPoint Therapy.

This is something I’ll be studying gradually, alongside my current clinic work, and any future online work will only be offered once I’ve completed the course and have the correct certification and insurance in place.

In simple terms, I’ll be learning about:

• How the brain and nervous system work

• How different parts of the brain affect thoughts, emotions, behaviour and the body

• Memory, attention, decision-making, communication and emotional regulation

• How professionals assess cognitive and nervous system changes

• How brain-based conditions can affect people at different stages of life

• Rehabilitation, neuroplasticity and ways the brain can adapt and change

• Ethical, legal and professional responsibilities in this area

• How modern tools such as brain imaging and AI are used in neuropsychology

• How to bring this knowledge safely and appropriately into professional practice

This feels like a natural next step for me after 15 years as a therapist and after my own lived experience of Functional Neurological Disorder.

My work has been evolving more and more towards nervous system regulation, stress responses, mind-body wellbeing and helping people understand themselves with more compassion.

Nothing is changing overnight, but I’m excited to keep learning and to continue developing PinPoint Therapy in a way that is both professional and sustainable.

Wish me luck on my next stage if career development 🙏

A little update from me…

I’ve officially uploaded my book Calm Within Chaos to Amazon, and it’s now under review. They’ve said it should be live within 72 hours, which feels very exciting and a little surreal.

This book is a gentle guide to nervous system healing and living well with chronic illness. It’s written for anyone who feels overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, burnt out, or living with chronic illness.

I’ll share the link as soon as it’s available.
Thank you so much for all the support, encouragement, and kindness along the way. It means more than I can say. 🤍

West Chiltington is beautiful.. So lovely to see my friend after a year of being a hermit coming to terms with my Functional Neurological Disorder diagnosis... After learning how to manage this condition by regulating my nervous system I finally feel I can be a bit more 'out there' in the world. Thankyou to my friends and clients for being patient with me whilst I've been navigating this 🤍

I wrote this book before I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder. This book helped massively to understand mental illness but there was one thing missing...

Laying the foundation.

Safety comes before deep mindset work..

I wasn't planning on writing another book but I realised I needed this myself.

My next book is what I wish someone had given me when I started having nervous system dyregulation..

A Personal Update – Honouring the Body’s Signals

I’ve always believed in the body’s innate wisdom—and lately, mine has been speaking louder than usual.

Recently, I’ve been experiencing neurological symptoms, including:
• Tremors (mostly in my right arm, sometimes my left)
• Involuntary shoulder jerks, causing my head to pull toward one side
• Weakness in my legs, now using a walking stick for support
• Restless legs, especially at night

These symptoms have brought me face-to-face with a new layer of surrender and self-care. I’m sharing this not for sympathy, but to show that healing isn’t always linear, even for those of us who work in this field.

Here’s what I’m doing to support myself right now:
🌿 Weekly acupuncture
🌀 Hypnotherapy to help accept my current limitations with compassion
💊 Supplements to support dopamine production and neurological function
🧘‍♀️ Somatic exercises to gently reawaken the connection between brain and body

Still waiting for a neurology assessment, the doctor wrote a strongly worded letter to say I need to be ASAP however the waiting list is long and although frustrated I’m using this time to rest, reflect and attempt to use complimentary therapy to relieve my symptoms. Some days are better than others.

My intentions are to manage my symptoms so I can return to work stronger than ever.

With love and gentleness 🙏

✨ One of the things I love most about acupuncture is how the body can surprise us…

Sometimes a client will say, “When you put the needle in my hand, I felt it in my ankle!” Or, “We’re working on my headaches, but my digestion and mood have improved too — is that normal?”

The short answer: YES — and it’s part of what makes acupuncture so incredible. 🧠🌿

A single needle can set off a chain reaction — not just in the area we’re treating, but across the body. Clients often report pleasant “side effects” like better sleep, less stress, more regular digestion, or even feeling more emotionally balanced.

Your body has an immense communication system. Sometimes the changes are so subtle we only notice them later… other times they’re immediate and unexpected — like feeling a needle in a completely different part of the body!

One of my favourite quotes from a teacher is:

“A million things happen when a single needle is placed.”

And I truly believe that. Acupuncture doesn’t just treat symptoms — it supports the body as a whole to restore balance.

💬 Have you experienced this? I’d love to hear your story if something unexpected shifted during treatment.

“Why do I feel sleepy once the needles are in?”

This is a question I get all the time — and to be honest, we’re not 100% sure!

But here’s what we do know: once the needles are in, your nervous system tends to shift into a deep state of rest and repair (known as the parasympathetic state). It’s the same part of your system that kicks in when you sleep — which is why you might feel drowsy or even drift off during treatment.

This is also why acupuncture is so effective at helping with stress-related symptoms like insomnia, fatigue, and lingering pain. When we spend too long in “fight or flight” mode (sympathetic state), the body can struggle to heal itself properly.

Feeling sleepy is actually one of the best signs that your body is responding well — it means it’s switching gears into recovery mode. And from there, so much healing is possible.

If you’ve experienced this during your sessions, let me know in the comments — or tag someone who always naps on the treatment table! 😴🪡💛
