Fillingham Yoga - A couple of spaces have become available for the next block, if you would like to join please get in touch.

Details:
🕡 Tuesday 6.30-8pm
❣️ Fillingham Village Hall (DN21 5BN)
🗓️ 6 week block: 24/2, 3/3, 10/3, 17/3, 24/3, 31/3
🎟️ £10 PAYG or £50 for a block contact me directly to book in (payment by BACs preferred due to fees, or go to whh.setmore.com to book online)

✅ We will practice different meditation and breathing techniques that you can use at home.

✅ Traditional style hatha class, slow and with the breath rather than fast and energetic, poses are held for upto 5 breaths so you relax into them, some flowy elements (parasympathetic state is my aim).

✅ Inclusive

❌ No headstands or anything like that.

More info:
90 minute class - approx 60 mins on different asana (physical practice), 15 mins on breathing and pranayama (using breath to direct energy) and 15 mins on meditation. My goal is to stretch the body in each direction and shift energy so you can comfortably relax and meditate. It you are looking for a fitness or fast flow style yoga class, I am likely not your preferred teacher.

Inclusive - yoga is for all bodies - and we are a friendly group. I have my own health challenges (and a belly now) so aim to support limitations. Any issues, let me know and I will discuss accommodations, although the practice is always your own so you can adapt for comfort, use a chair, rest etc.

Two updates Yoga and Nutrition

🧘🏻‍♀️Yoga: the last class of our current block at Fillingham Village Hall is next Tuesday (10 Feb).

Our next block runs from Tuesday 24 Feb for 6 weeks until 31 March. I’ve not chosen a theme yet so suggestions on what you’d like to develop appreciated 💕 I’ll wait to advertise at the weekend as if everyone wants to continue I’ll call the class full. So please let me know 🙏🏻

Booking available on whh.setmore.com, although I prefer if you book direct with me to save fees (cash/BACs).

🥙Nutrition and hypnotherapy based healthy weight loss / management course: I havent forgotten and this is to support me as well as us all!! As you can see by the title it’s a work in progress... But as a few people have expressed interest I’m writing it now.

6-8 weeks of naturopathic nutritional discussions* with hypnotherapy* and a bit of yoga. 1 hour sessions. Alpha test so will be ~£5/session in exchange for feedback, 6-8 sessions paid in advance, online or on person, max of 12. Considering women only. I was hoping to launch late Jan / early Feb, but I’m digging into the research to get it right, so am projecting mid April now.

If you’re interested in either please drop me a text/WhatsApp, email or DM.

Healthful eating and lifestyles course / club - provisionally starting Jan ‘26… Get in touch if interested!! Details below.

I’m a fully qualified naturopathic nutritional therapist, hypnotherapist and yoga teacher. I’m also currently above my preferred ideal weight.

In the new year I’m considering putting together a short course / club for a small (max 8-10) group of adults (BMI over 25) on what constitutes healthful eating and to support each other in moving towards a healthier weight. I’m not a fan of BMI, calorie counting or scales, so unless it is wanted there will be no weigh-ins and goals will be based around what to eat. In teaching we know that grading people distracts from progress, and I honestly don’t see weighing ourselves all the time as any different. I’m focussed on health first, weight loss second.

You will be in the driving seat for managing your own plate and activity. I will share tools to help you make choices and devise your own plans. You will be helping me by giving me feedback on sessions and what things are helpful to include, or not. As a result I will keep the cost to a max of £5 per (group) session of upto 60 mins. Future sessions will likely be at least double this. Sessions will run weekly or fortnightly for 6-12 sessions initially, although could extend if desired. Starting mid-late Jan 2026. TBD if online or in person (time and location to be confirmed). I prefer in person but am open to online. I’m thinking Monday evenings, but again, can be flexible.

My intention is to include elements of education around food and lifestyles, group (peer-peer) support, hypnotherapy, maybe a bit of yoga / breathing / meditation and honestly, anything else people would find helpful.

You need to commit to the full course and be willing to complete surveys and provide feedback to help me develop the program.

One to one’s or additional coaching will be available on request for an additional cost, I may run offers for course attendees.

Today I finish for the Christmas break so wanted to take a moment to thank my clients for their support this year and to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Back on Tuesday 6 Jan (I will check emails periodically). Lots of exciting things on the cards for 2026 and I couldn’t do any of it without your support.

Thinking you might like to start yoga, but feeling unsure if it’s for you? Maybe you can’t get your leg behind your ear or touch your toes? I can touch my toes, but I’ve never got my leg behind my ear yet! Maybe you need a chair, no problem!

Try our inclusive yoga class at Fillingham Village Hall. Great for beginners and those with some experience, small group (max 10 and usually 6-8 as I prefer it). Couple of spaces available for January. Really friendly group, you will be made to feel really welcome. Lovely cosy space, especially by candlelight 🕯️

🕡 Tuesdays 6.30pm-8.00pm
❣️ Fillingham Village Hall
🗓️ January block dates 6, 13, 27 Jan, 2, 9 Feb (note no class on 20 Jan)
⭐️ £10pp per class, tenth class free with my loyalty card.
🌟 £40 for the block.
🗓️ whh.setmore.com or get in touch with me using details below (preferred)

Oh and if you think you’re the wrong body shape / size, not fit or flexible, don’t like wearing Lyrca, too old, whatever else, I assure you, you are not! I manage a chronic illness and a belly myself so can help help you to access most poses with whatever modification you would like (just chat to me before booking).

This is a Hatha class so there are no Vinyasas. We may do some slow flows (option to do each posture individually at your preference). I don’t use music as for me the goal of yoga is to go inward and combine body, breath and mind (it also helps you hear me).

A class generally consists of settling, warm-up, asana / postures (seated, standing and floor based), breathing or pranayama (use of the breath) and relaxation or meditation. In January we will be focussing on developing concentration in meditation so the physical practice will also be more mindful to help you really get in touch with your body, and perhaps a little slower to help this. I’m quite inspired by some of the mapping and more somatic style for deep tension release I’ve been studying recently 🧘

If you’ve read this far and are keen to join, but would prefer some 1:1 sessions first for confidence or a class tailored to chair use or anything else (I’m toying with a couple of ideas at the moment, likely around my own conditions), during the day, or in your village please get in touch 💕

A little success story… a few months ago a relative (80+ years old) was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and HbA1c of 116mmol/mol (high, we want to be below 42). Knowing I was training in Naturopathic Nutrition they asked for some pointers. Being family I advised them on diet, lifestyle and a couple of supplements. They followed the guidance to the letter, I kept checking, but this was a very light touch as I couldn’t take clients yet. Today I got the best phone call, they’d had their bloods done and are now in remission. Their GP supported their decision to work with diet and lifestyle interventions and kept monitoring their progress and had messaged them ‘well done’. They have avoided medication*, which was their goal. Although they also have more energy, need fewer naps and keep telling me about their weight loss. The interventions remain as this is a lifelong journey. Now I’m qualified we’ll continue to build for ongoing success.

If you’re interested in what nutrition and lifestyle interventions could do for you, get in touch I may consider taking a very small number of clients in the new year.

I have now completed my Naturopathic Nutrition Diploma (awaiting my certificate) 🎉 It’s been a journey as I developed significant health challenges of my own which I continue to work through, so my first client will be myself 💕

Oh and anyone who knows me, you know I’m not stopping here 😂 In January I’m doing some specialist training in nutrigenomics (how we can use personalise our diet for our own genetics) and from Feb or Sept (tbd) I’ll start the degree level top up so I can earn my second BSc 😁 Exciting times!!

* I’m not an advocate for not taking necessary medication or ignoring medical advice. My goal is always to work complementary to it and with a client’s wishes and goals.
