From 1st September 2025

All clients using AXA insurance will need to pay for their session. They will receive their detailed receipt and they can claim back directly from AXA.
Clients will be reimbursed quickly.
We are doing this for 3 reasons;

1. Axa can take up to 3 months to reimburse clinics and we often have to chase them adding furtherer admin burden to our team.

2. The invoicing system they have introduced is very time intensive. They do not pay us appropriately to be adding unnecessary admin time. They have also introduced a system where we have to pay to submit our invoices. We should not have to pay axa to recoup our earnings.

3. Axa have failed to increase our physio fees in the last 15 years, in line with the industry. This is happening across the country. Which means lots of clinics now refuse to take AXA clients.
Axa clients are then being signposted to newly graduate physios who are happy to accept AXA fees.

Please be reassured that you can still access our wealth of experience, we will still treat AXA clients but we are having to introduce this measure.

At the Performance Clinic, we share a strong bond with the Empire Theatre in Sunderland, helping their performers when they need.

Last week, our Physiotherapist, Jared helped the performers and backroom staff of "Hamilton".

He also managed to watch the show which by his account was "unbelievable".

All the best to the performers who now travel to Plymouth as they continue their tour!

All the best to all the performers and backroom staff of “Hamilton” which premieres from the 17th of June through to the 26th of July!

We have had a strong relationship with the Sunderland Empire Theatre over the years, treating the performers when they have needed assistance.

The show has been a hit this past week, and will continue to house full crowds for the next month.
