I love how mobilising aids have developed.

This 4 wheeled walker is excellent for people who need to be mindful of their posture. I like that it keeps the user properly upright with its height adjustable handles and that it is so streamlined in design- improving its portability.

No, I have no financial interest in the product, this is just my opinion.

Taking a holistic approach to my service delivery is important to me…

During our 2-week break, I am exploring other avenues via a separate (to the exercise classes) service, so that I can continue to support my participants to work on their voice quality and respiratory function - hint 🎼🎶🎤.

Although quite a long article, I thought it was interesting and accessible.

Funnily enought, my balance has always been shocking, but since I completed my physio degree and then started to develop some pain in my knees (undiagnosed arthritis), I had been doing some single leg stands periodically through the day and to fair, I had noticed improvements in both balance and pain.

Exercise evidence shows, that doing some exercise, little and often (exercise snacking) is as effective as doing one full workout in one go. It all counts towards the 🎯 if 150 mins of moderate exercise a week.

Did I mention that I do my single leg stands while waiting for a bus or the kettle to boil?

Do some single leg stands daily folks! ⚠️ Use a sturdy chair or countertop to hold onto if you need the support (psst, it’s not cheating).

Spending a few minutes each day balancing on a single limb can make you stronger, boost your memory and keep your brain healthier.
