We have been working away making care boxes.

Two boxes arrive and we knew that it must be the donated soap and lotion from Sense of Scotland because it smelt amazing even through the boxes.

With that money you are saving on take out coffees, why not out it to a good cause.

We have a very busy week ahead of us assembling and delivering Care boxes to care homes.

Our goal is to create. Completed ppe solution for 1000 care staff and frontline workers. The boxes aim to protect frontline workers and vulnerable individuals whilst also being eco responsible.

Beong eco responsible means that we are investing in quality matrials so they can last the test of time, be reside over and over and can be recycled once no longer needed.

Today we got to meet up with the Amazing Thomas Rae and his team of superstar volunteer. Tomas and the gang have been working away for the last month providing free scrubs to the NHS and other front line works.

Thomas is a good friend of mine and I feel very privileged to be working with him and his team.

Wednesday was a day of driving around meeting amazing business helping to keep people safe.

We got to go to the CyldesideDistillery to pick up 50 bottles of hand sanitizer. Sanitation is a key part of everyday life now, from washing our hands to sanitization. Products like these are vital to reducing cross-contamination and controlling the spread of the virus.

These care boxes are set to save lives and help to protect those on the frontline. If you can donate, you will be helping save many people lives.

Care Boxes 4 Care Homes is an initiative from the COVID Safety Network to make Covid-19 protection easy, accessible and eco-friendly.

We provide free Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) care boxes for care homes, refugee centres and any residential home in need of protection.

Covid-19 has hit care homes hardest. With the NHS struggling for resources, they often seem to be left to fend for themselves. Time spent by care home staff hunting for individual PPE items is time that could be given to those in their care. These items often take weeks to arrive and are single-use.

We have created the first-ever Covid-19 care boxes that provide eco-friendly and reusable PPE and cleaning options for those working in care homes, refugee centres or for residential homes in need.

We are looking for £5,000 to supply at least 100 care homes across the UK with vital PPE and cleaning equipment. To raise spirits, we’ve included a little treat in each box too.

You can also support our cause in non-financial ways:

2. Donate in-kind support – should you wish to donate supplies or PPE, please email hannah@covidsafetynetwork.com with information on the products you have and how many you can donate.

Amazing work still happening all over 💪

We have already made over 2,000 visors which have been give out to the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Infirmary. We have delivered laminate to schools and 3d printing networks across the country.

We aren't stopping there!

The crisis may seem like it's slowing, but it is not. In care homes and ICU wards, it is a very different story. Care homes are the worst hit and the most unprotected. We are working with designers, medics and makers, using rapid prototyping to create reusable solutions to the PPE crisis.

Not only that, we are providing resources and information that are helping establishments to understand how to use reusable PPE in a safe and controlled way, aiming to minimise risk and maximise protection.

Yesterday we spent the day driving around Glasgow and Edinburgh delivering laminate to our network. The machines at Lodge High school are working at full speed to get visors out. They have already deliver over 1500 !
