Welcome to Sparks Film School Glasgow South. We’re passionate about potential.

Since we launched in Glasgow in summer of 2023, more than 100 children and teens have joined us for filmmaking camps and classes. We offer filmmaking (and now animation!) holiday camps and Saturday filmmaking during the school term.

Our young filmmakers are developing essential storytelling and technical skills 🎥📚 while exploring the art of cinema in a creative and supportive environment 🌈

Through hands-on experience, each student has the opportunity to take on different roles — including directing 🎬, acting 🎭, camera operation and sound🎙️ — helping them build confidence, teamwork and creative thinking 💡✨

🎬 Big shout-out to one of our stars! 🌟

Meet Isla — our talented young filmmaker at Sparks Glasgow South — who was recently in the spotlight on the Sparks blog. We couldn’t be more proud! 👏

Since she joined, Isla’s filmmaking has really taken off: she has learned new camera techniques, gained confidence on set and has already worked on 3 different productions. Hearing her talk about her favourite shot type — the “triangle shot” — shows just how much she loves experimenting with cinematography, storytelling and developing her own visual style 🎥✨
