Hannah King is a counsellor who has current availabity at both The Wellbeing Rooms at Stepps and Bearsden.

Following a career in the care sector and in education, Hannah is now a qualified integrative counsellor/psychotherapist who works with adults on a one-to-one basis, either in-person or online. She has experience of working with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, health issues/anxiety, bereavement, self-esteem and trauma.

Hannah provides a safe, confidential, empathetic, non-judgemental space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings, allowing you to understand more about yourself and your relationships with others. She offers a space where clients feel heard, supported and fully accepted as they are.

As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, Hannah incorporates a variety of therapeutic approaches and methods into her work and combines them to suit the needs of each individual client. These include Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Hannah understands it can be daunting to take the first step into counselling and is happy to offer a free of charge initial 15-minute phone call to answer any questions and to discuss working together. She can be contacted by email or telephone. If she is not available, please leave a short message and she will get back to you as soon as possible.

Mental health doesn’t matter.

Do you believe that? I don’t.

Despite this, do we prioritise our mental health? Do we give it the same airtime as our physical health?
This week I’ve been struggling with a trapped nerve in my neck. It’s been excruciating but one thing it has allowed me to do is stop, focus on me, my mental health and how I’m doing. When your physical health grinds you to a halt, sometimes that’s the only time we focus on our mental health.

Take time this evening to check in with yourself. How are you doing, really?
