This week, we’re supporting Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week and the theme “This Is My Place.”

Belonging plays a huge part in a young person’s mental health. When young people feel included, accepted and understood — at home, in school, with friends or in their community — it can make a real difference to their wellbeing.

At Glasgow City Youth Health Service, we create a space where young people feel welcome, listened to and valued. We work with young people to make sure they feel supported and confident to be themselves.

Children’s Mental Health Week is a reminder that we all have a role in helping young people feel connected and valued. Together, we can build environments where every young person feels able to say:

“This is my place.”

We’re excited to share that new suggestion boxes are coming to all 9 Glasgow City Youth Health Service venues in the coming weeks.
Keep an eye out for them and have your say.

Your feedback genuinely matters — we use it to shape and improve the service we provide for young people across the city.

It’s Safer Internet Day!!!

The internet plays a huge role in young people’s lives; shaping how they connect, learn, and express themselves. That’s why it’s so important to talk about online safety, boundaries, and digital wellbeing.

At YHS, we continue to promote healthy online behaviours and encourage conversations that help young people feel informed, supported, and empowered online because we believe that a better internet starts with awareness, care, and community.

Today, we’re encouraging young people, families, and professionals to start meaningful conversations about staying safe online and supporting one another in digital spaces.
