Happy National Unicorn Day! 🦄

Did you know the unicorn is Scotland’s national animal? It’s been a part of our history since the 12th century and still features on the royal coat of arms today. Chosen for its purity, strength, and a touch of mystery - it’s a symbol that’s uniquely Scottish.

Unicorn Day is a nice wee reminder to embrace what makes you magical & add your little bit of magic to the day.

On this Remembrance Sunday, my heart stands proudly with my husband and all who have served.

We share 47 years combined Service in the Royal Navy, standing shoulder to shoulder with remarkable people, some of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. My husband has been a constant anchor, both in the force and in life.

Today, we honor not just the memories of those we lost, but the spirit of those who continue to serve, their families, and the quiet strength of those who support them. We remember the bravery, camaraderie, and the unbreakable bonds we shared. And we give thanks, together, for the sacrifices that allow us all to live freely.

To our fallen heroes, friends, comrades. - you are not forgotten. We carry your legacy, always.

We will remember them. ⚓️

Today is World Mental Health Day.

Three years ago, in 2021, I became an author, sharing a chapter of my life alongside 14 other incredible women. Today, I continue to step into my power and remembering the words of Donna Ashworth when she reminds us that “perfect is not needed here.”

It takes immense courage to share your story, and I’m so proud of everyone who embraces their truth and becomes visible, raising awareness for mental health while supporting the charity Milestone Mums.
