Meet Laura: Running 5k every day 💙💛
Our Paramedic Laura is hitting the ground running this January! To raise vital funds for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, Laura has committed to running a minimum of 5km every single day as part of Doddie Aid: Team Scotland 2026. Her journey doesn’t stop there; she is also training for the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon on 10th May to raise money for St Vincent's Hospice. 🌳
MND-related charities hold a special place in Laura’s heart, and she is dedicated to supporting those living with this condition. You can support her efforts and help fund life-changing research here:

✴️ Why we’re moving for MND
Motor Neuron Disease (MND) is a progressive condition that affects the brain and nerves. It leads to muscle weakness and wasting, often taking away a person’s ability to walk, talk, or breathe independently.
Because MND directly impacts mobility, Laura is encouraging everyone to "get moving" this January. Whether it’s a short walk, cycle, swim or a daily run, staying active is a powerful way to:
🏃♂️ Support your own physical and mental wellbeing.
💙 Show solidarity with those whose movement has been restricted by MND.
💛 Start the year right with a focus on health and community.
Every step Laura takes and every donation you make helps My Name’5 Doddie work toward their goal, a world free of MND. And St Vincent’s hospice to support and maximise the quality of life of those living with life limiting illnesses.
Let’s get moving together 💙💙
