Not because they’re broken, but because that approach never addresses why the pain started or why it keeps coming back.

Chronic pain isn’t fixed with random exercises or generic advice. It requires proper assessment, rebuilding movement patterns, and restoring strength where it’s been lost.

That’s what I do every day with people who were told they’d “just have to live with it” and prove them wrong.

2026 Is Not Another “Just Get Through It” Year!

Most people don’t come into a new year excited.

They come in hoping nothing gets worse.

Hoping the pain doesn’t flare up again.

Hoping they can keep managing.

Hoping they don’t have to cancel plans… again.

If that’s you - I want you to hear this.

What you’ve been told about your pain isn’t the full truth.

You weren’t “just unlucky.”

You’re not broken.

And this doesn’t have to be your life forever.

I’ve spent 9 years working with people who were told:
“There’s nothing more we can do.”
“You’ll need to manage this long-term.”
“You’ll have to adjust your life around it.”

People who had surgery.

People with fibromyalgia.

People who had tried everything and quietly lost hope.

And I’ve watched them do things they never thought they’d do again.

Walk without fear.

Sleep through the night.

Train, travel, laugh, move... Freely.

Not because they were lucky.

Not because pain magically disappeared.

But because they were finally shown the right process.

So as 2026 approaches, I want you to stop asking:
“Can I cope another year like this?”

And start asking:
“What if this is the year everything changes?”

The year you stop putting your health last.

For a lot of people, Christmas isn’t relaxing - it’s something to get through.

Long days on your feet.
Sitting too long.
Travel.
Cold weather.
Disrupted routines.

I’ve had so many clients tell me Christmas used to mean flare-ups, fatigue, and cancelling plans last minute.

Now?

They’re walking more.

Most people say the same thing when they first see me.

“I’ve tried everything.”

Physio.
Medication.
Injections.
Scans.
Specialists.
Rest.
Pushing through.

By the time people reach me, they’re not looking for miracles - just honesty.

What I’ve learned is this:

Chronic pain isn’t usually about needing more treatment.

It’s about needing the right approach for long enough.

Different doesn’t mean extreme.

It means consistent, progressive, and built around real life.

Scans can show disc bulges, degeneration, or “abnormalities” - but that doesn’t always explain your pain.

Most have had these changes way before they even experienced pain, and will still have them once they’re pain free!

Your body is more resilient than a report suggests, and movement can still be safe and effective.

Most people who walk through my door aren’t just in pain.

They’re tired.

Sceptical.

And quietly bracing themselves for the idea that this might be as good as it gets.

They’ve been told:
“This is chronic.”
“You’ll need to manage it.”
“There’s nothing more we can do.”

That loss of hope weighs heavier than the pain itself.

One of the most important parts of my job isn’t hands-on treatment.

It’s helping people realise their body isn’t broken - it’s just been misunderstood.

And once belief comes back, progress usually follows.

Our Story

Here at Pain Relief Glasgow we provide a private chronic pain and sports injury service throughout Glasgow and the surrounding areas with clients coming to us from as far as Aberdeen. Combining modern US and Canadian manual therapy systems as well as standard british methods we have designed a unique treatment system that works extremely well . All our treatments are 100% hands on and cannot be found anywhere within UK healthcare or NHS. All sessions are individually tailored to you to ensure you experience the most effective treatment for your symptoms and situation. Founder, James McCaig is passionate and experienced in treating chronic pain. Regardless of what you have previously been told or diagnosed with he is always confident in getting you pain free, due to this new and effective approach. James studied at Teesside University as a Sports Therapist, after graduating he quickly started treating members of the public using traditional rehabilitation methods. During this time the average recovery time for a client was 8-12 weeks. When introduced to Fascia alongside the whole body approach the recovery time was instantly halved, this made him more confident, proud and determined and he has never looked back since.
