We were delighted to add pioneering dental anaesthetist Dr Richard Wolfson’s ‘dental case’ to the Noble Glasgow Dental Museum after it was kindly donated by Lyn Wolfson.
Dick retired in the early 70s and was well known for his research and work as well as being a renowned after dinner speaker.
If you knew, worked with or met Dr Wolfson - we would love to hear any stories you have!

Further to the Henry Wuga story, here's where he met ingrid, his wife to be, the Scottish Refugee Centre, at 358 Sauchiehall Street.

Established in 1942, in the last remaining Georgian villa on the street, later occupied by David Allen & Co, a Greenock-based business which advertised itself as 'the largest billposting company in the world', it provided political debates and lectures, as well as a restaurant serving cheap continental meals and was a great social centre for Jewish and non-Jewish refugees.

Sadly, the villa - known as 'the White House' - was later swept away to make room for the extension to Glasgow Dental Hospital.

Hi folks! We recently acquired this old brass plaque for the Noble Glasgow Dental Museum and would love to know who the dentist is/was and anything about them. Edinburgh Dental School closed in 1994 and so AK Varma must have graduated before then.
Do you know who AK Varma is/was?
