It's back to work, school and nursery for me, Maria and Luke after being off ill with one bug then another for most of the past 2 weeks. There was a lot of rescheduling to do but fortunately it's back to normal today, fingers crossed, although I'm still adapting to the new school routine (it was much easier when they were both at nursery!).
Over the years, I have grown to love being organised and managing my time (I even investigated the relationship between mood and gender on time perception tasks for my dissertation), so I happily spent some of the weekend planning my schedule for the days, weeks and months ahead.
Lately I have been using more tools to help me, and now regularly use a monthly habit tracker, a household planner, a colour co-ordinated google calendar, and I carry a diary around with me (mainly because it has a notes section that I can jot things down on before I forget them).
I find that the more organised I am, not only do I get more done (including daily self-care) but I also have more free time and less stress, although it still doesn't guarantee that I'll always be on time lol.
With perimenopause in full swing it also stops me from forgetting half the things that I have to do, but unfortunately not with forgetting where I've put things, usually the car keys!!
