We are incredibly proud to share that our dedicated HRM Homecare carer Dipa Chaulagain was invited to a prestigious reception held at Windsor Castle on 11th February.
The reception, hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, celebrated excellence in care and shone a spotlight on the vital contribution carers make to the social and health landscape of the United Kingdom. The evening honoured carers in all forms — from professional carers, NHS staff to foster carers, young carers, unpaid carers supporting family and community members.
Dipa was selected by the Scottish Government in recognition of her dedication, compassion, and commitment to delivering outstanding care. During this special evening, she had the wonderful opportunity to meet and speak with Their Majesties, as well as Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, alongside many other distinguished guests.
Dipa Chaulagan came to HRM Homecare through Routes to Work in 2023 and quickly found her feet. She is hard working, kind and dedicated to her service users. HRM Homecare CEO Lynn Laughland MBE, commented “Dipa is always going above and beyond for our service users to enable them to live as independently as possible in their own homes. It’s great to see her honoured on behalf of all carers from HRM Homecare and providers across Scotland”
Dipa described the evening as a truly memorable experience and a proud moment — not just for her personally, but for the caring profession as a whole.
“The castle was amazing, the room where the event was held was very prestigious with flags all around. I met the Duke of Edinburgh first and chatted about the royal castles. I then met His Majesty who was very friendly and interested in where I worked and what I did as a carer in social care. I shook hands with him and the Queen who thanked me for being there”
👏 Congratulations, Dipa! Your hard work and passion for care continue to inspire us all.
