🧡 Emotional Eating 🧡

As we step into Eating Disorders Awareness Week, let’s take a moment to recognise the complex relationship many of us have with food. Emotional eating is a common response to stress or intense emotions, deeply tied to our thoughts, feelings, and past experiences where food is used for comfort rather than to satisfy physical hunger. In contrast, eating disorders are serious mental health conditions that involve deeply ingrained patterns of disordered eating and can significantly impact both physical and emotional wellbeing. If you find yourself turning to food for comfort, stress relief, or distraction, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it alone either. Talking therapy can help you understand and reshape your relationship with food in a compassionate, judgment-free space.

🌿 Healing Starts with Self-Compassion 🌿

Struggling with low mood, anxiety, or past trauma? You don’t have to do this alone. 💙

Here at Connected Health and Wellbeing, we are a warm, therapist-led team specialising in self-compassion approaches to mental wellbeing. We know how hard it can be to quiet that inner critic, to feel safe in your own mind, and to take the first step toward healing. But here’s the truth—you deserve kindness, support, and a space to heal at your own pace.

Whether you’re feeling stuck in self-doubt, overwhelmed by anxiety, or carrying the weight of past experiences, we are here to help. With evidence-based therapies rooted in understanding, not judgment, we guide you toward a more compassionate relationship with yourself—because healing isn’t about “fixing” yourself, it’s about learning to meet yourself with care.

Wellbeing is a subjective experience, all about health, happiness, and prosperity, covering physical, mental, and emotional health, social connections, and a sense of purpose. It's unique to each of us and reflects a positive life assessment. Physical health, mental wellness, social ties, financial stability, personal growth, and a supportive environment impact our wellbeing. Promoting it involves maintaining a balanced and positive quality of life. Stay tuned for more updates by following our website https://www.connectedhealthandwellbeing.com/
