🌱FREE ONLINE PRACTICE AND Q&A THIS WEEK🌱

Interested in joining our 250 Hour Yoga Facilitator Training with this year?

This Friday at 6pm & will offer a free online practice with space to ask questions and find out a little more about the training.
DM us to join!

The doors are currently open for the 2026 edition of this very special training. To feel into the container we offer here is some words from our favourite water nymph and wordsmith - we love you Molly!

ā€œThe FORM! facilitator training, and its container, is so thoughtfully created by Anna and Annie. It holds you as you grow, it is a space to explore for the curious and a guiding hand as you delve into practice, ritual, and all that is to offer. The depth of experience, knowledge and passion that is infused within the course materials, immersion week, each training weekend and guest facilitators who join us is palpable. It really is such a treat to be part of the kula. I really do sometimes just sit back and think, how lucky am I to be here. I have felt so supported as I go on this journey; we have laughed, we have cried, we have danced, moved, been still, swam, giggled at our toes, sung and listened. There is so much space to truly feel, to be, and if you are longing for this, then you have come to the right place.
From the beginning, Annie and Anna have instilled that we are
co-creating, learning from each other as much as we are from them. This non-hierarchical space is so resourced, and everyone has so much to give. Every part of this experience and training has my whole heart, even the sticky bits. I’ve noticed that as we go on this journey, the more I find myself opening up, taking in a leaf as it flutters in the breeze, grounding, the more I feel.
I felt drawn to this training, and if you feel it too, then I would invite you to listen to the pull.ā€

✨ horizon✨

This past year for me has been a head down one. 2025 was about inner journeying. About exposing patterns, about releasing closely held stories, about looking truth in the eye. About dissolution, excavation, digestion. About tenderly meeting the parts of myself I haven’t loved well enough.

This is some of the tough and unglamorous work that a dedicated yoga practice eventually brings us to. Practice builds our capacity to be with. Practice pulls us into deeper contact with reality. The option to deflect, numb, push down, avoid, distract - it just stops being available. And everything tumbles out to be met, held, expressed. With more colour, richness and intensity. The beautiful, the boring, the terrifying - often side by side. Maybe this is why ta**ra is called the fierce path. Last year felt fierce.

I’m so grateful for the friends, teachers, guides that walked beside me last year. So grateful to every single person who came to class, trainings or workshops - to every person I practiced with. I know you feel it but when we practice together - we are holding each other. Thank you thank you thank you for holding me.

This year feels different - texturally, energetically. I’ve been sensing a new horizon coming. It has appeared in glimmers and glimpses this past year. And now I feel the fullness and vastness of its arrival - spilling itself wide. Like a new white egg cracking vibrant yellow.

I’m calling in outer journeys now. Calling in adventure, community, joy, silliness, togetherness. Calling in bodies moving outside. As the land, with the land. Calling in the hills, forests and waters. She is us, we are her.
Movement, breath, sweat & stillness - outside in nature - will always be the most sacred kind of prayer for me.

And maybe we’ll find each other there, in movement, in stillness, in devotion. in the hills, at the horizon. May we all be that earthed, that expansive, that free. May the horizon crack itself open inside each of us.

Photos ofc - by the person I’m most often in the hills with so lucky to have you to journey with! ONWARDS!

CURIOUS BODIES IS BACK! šŸŒ€šŸŒ€šŸŒ€

gentle but deep somatic movement & yoga practice to drop into the pulse and current of life as it moves our bodies

Sunday 30 November, 2.45-4.45pm
Sliding scale payments available:
https://momence.com/l/ALh4PbJo

Somatic movement is unstructured but gently guided free movement initiated from the direct experience of the body in that moment. I will offer visualisation, meditation and enquiry, via invitational prompts, to drop into deeper and subtler layers of embodied experience and to invite what is discovered into movement and expression. I weave in the teachings of the nondual Ta***ic tradition, whose goal is jivanmukti or embodied liberation, to offer movers a direct experience of radical freedom, that comes from body.

These sessions will be gentle but go deep. All that is required is an open curiosity, a willingness to listen, to sit in the unknown and see what comes through.

Somatic practices inspired by Embodied Flow, Body-Mind Centering and Authentic Movement practices.

FOR ALL CURIOUS BODIES: RIVER

8am-11am(ish), Sunday 29 June.
Location is a 40minute drive from Glasgow, car shares will be arranged.

Move as if the body is water, in water. It has been twice before, in the womb and in our evolutionary past... It is easy to maintain fixed models of who we are or who we need to be.. as we attend to the fluid motions happening inside and outside our bodies, we dissolve, instead, into timelessness.
- Andrea Olsen, Body and Earth

And still, pressed deep into my mind, the river
keeps coming, touching me, passing by on its
long journey, its pale, infallible voice
singing.
- Mary Oliver, At The River Clarion

A journey into river and our fluid bodies. Part meditative encounter with landscape, part somatic exploration.

The session will begin with silent walking meditation and slow soft encounter with landscape - taking in the visceral experience of the river and its life through all senses, guided by gentle prompts. Then we’ll move together exploring our fluid bodies - the great rushing rivers of our blood, the delicate nectar tributaries of our cerebral spinal fluid, the oceanic vastness of our interstitial fluid - and how they might come more alive for us in the greater holding and context of the river. Movement will be free, exploratory, unstructured. I’ll offer imagery, poetry and some of the wisdom of the non dual ta***ic traditions to guide you in. You might move alot, you might barely move at all - it’s all welcome. We let the waters speak.
Then we’ll rest, draw, journal, wander. Before sharing a picnic lunch and the opportunity to put words to our experiences together before heading home.

Important to note this practice will take place entirely outside and will involve a 20-30 minute hike. A generally good level of fitness and health is required to participate. If the weather is against us the session will be rescheduled.

Very limited capacity. Suggested donation payment of £30 but open to folks paying less or more according to what feels right / affordable. Email annabeatayoga@gmail.com to book in

RESTORATIVE BELTANE PRACTICE - yin, nidra and live song and story soundbath
Friday 9 May

Sliding scale, link to book: https://momence.com/s/114546824

I am so excited to welcome my dear friend and teacher .buchanan.music to Glasgow! Georgie is on tour with her collaborator and we’ve devised this very special restorative session together for whilst they’re in town, hosted by the wonderful . Join us!

Studio 70 yoga teacher Anna will be joined by harpist, singer and voice teacher Georgie Buchanan and singer and fiddle player Alana Middleton for a very special restorative session in the studio. Anna will offer soft movement and passive, supported yin postures to deeply ground and release through the body, and guide a gentle yoga nidra meditation to settle participants into rest. Georgie and Alana will offer a sonic drenching of live harp, soft lyrical fiddle and voice harmony to create an immersive song soundbath interwoven with poetry and stories celebrating Beltane and the arrival of summer. Participants will be invited to drift away, on waves of melody and story, into imaginative realms and restorative bliss.

FOR ALL CURIOUS BODIES - an introduction to somatic movement
2-4pm, Saturday 8 March
Sliding scale £10-£30
https://momence.com/s/111870364

The first of what I hope will become a regular session for somatic explorers in the safe & welcoming space of . Open to everyone regardless of experience, but this first session will be introductory to support those who might be taking their first foray into this kind of movement.

Somatic movement is unstructured but gently guided free movement initiated from the direct experience of what’s present in the body, in that moment. We invite the mind to soften, entering a meditative or flow state, so we can feel the body more fully and deeply and invite what is felt to move, express, perhaps release.

This introductory session will support anyone interested in exploring the interior landscape of body to start to tap in . I will offer visualization, meditation & breathing practices together with invitational prompts and enquiries to explore different areas and systems of the body and to invite what is discovered to be expressed in movement.

We’ll meditate, move and share together. Movement will be prompted but unguided and free - you might move a lot, you might spend the whole session in stillness. It’s all welcome.

These sessions will be gentle but go deep - all that is required is an open curiosity, a willingness to listen your body, to sit in the unknown and wait to see what the body has to express.

Somatic practices inspired by Embodied Flow, Body-Mind Centering, Authentic Movement practice.

Yesterday morning we shared practice from this beautiful book/collection of resources as part of a pod.

It was so moving, so melancholic & bittersweet, to explore the connection between body and earth as an extreme weather event unfolded around me. To read these words as the winds whipped and the lights flickered, I felt filled with a deep grief. It’s so hard to countenance the trouble our planet is in. The trouble we are in. The trouble our bodies are in. I believe with every bit of me that healing is possible - even in the direst of circumstances. In the face of great pain and devastation - the most beautiful acts of healing can and do occur. We’ve seen it. We move to wholeness even when all seems lost. And I hold that knowing close. Alongside the deep grief.

ā€˜We can consider that we are part of a vast interconnected system, rather than separate from the world around us. We are nature too.
As we recognise our interconnectedness with the rest of the earth, we begin to see the world from a relational perspective. We are coming to the end of our non renewable resources, such as fossil fuels. We are also coming to the end of renewable ones, such as clean water, clean air and healthy soil. This is true of the body as well. We can no longer count on resilience in our structure: our bodies are too busy recovering, attempting to filter internal as well as external toxins. Yet we can consciously cleanse our systems and balance our energy, just as we can protect the resources around us. Our attitudes to our bodies have everything to do with the health of the earth.’

Coincidentally I also listened to this beautiful episode of The Emerald podcast - ā€˜Embodiment means being torn apart and flying away’. Which has lots of wise, deep things to say about being in body and being with the earth and the way wellness industry has hijacked the concept of embodiment: https://open.spotify.com/episode/6Sy3vaAJncfsxy70bo7sIo?si=D-pdSF83SKiUUCD3jf-V5w

After an extended break - I’m so happy to be back to my regular schedule. This week is about unwinding, unsticking, freeing up. Working with Sri Ganesha in mantra, evoking the threshold and the release of obstacles. Working with the slip, slide, tug, reach of fascia - calling in the intuitive wisdom of this system that knows how to build support and how to release. Working with the softening of story and concept. Let it all slide away. Let’s get free.

WEDNESDAY:
10-11am vinyasa
6.30-7.30pm vinyasa

THURSDAY:
7.30-8.15am morning flow

SATURDAY:

DEEP REST - IN THE BELLY
Sunday 2 February
6-8pm
The Kali Collective
Ā£30 - https://www.annabeatayoga.com/yoga-events

Imbolc, sometimes translated as ā€˜in the belly’, marks the midway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox, a traditional celtic holy-day that heralds the arrival of spring.

We invite you to mark this moment with us. Held by the womb-darkness of winter, we feel into the stir of spring. Soft intuitive movement to arrive, passive supported poses to deeply ground, yoga nidra to vision and travel - all held by a carefully woven sonic world.

We are delighted to be hosted by our friends and collaborators at The Kali Collective and held in this temple to Kali Ma will call upon her energy - the destruction that precedes creation, the space that is cleared before the new arrives.

Green shoots travelling through dark earth. Soft creatures stir in burrows. What can you sense is coming next?

2024 brought so much. Bliss, love, heartache, grief, confusion, boredom, contraction, vastness, immersion, revelation, community, aloneness - again again again again. And isn’t it always like this. Impossible not to be in awe of it all - of life unfolding as it does. I’d do it all again. What a dance.

So grateful to the studios who invited me to share with their beautiful communities.

So grateful to the Glad Cafe regulars for showing up every week & co-creating one of my favourite spaces to be & practice in.

So grateful to my teachers who have guided me in so many known & unknown ways .buchanan.music

So grateful to the community for seeing me, being with me, holding me, guiding me - and especially my fellow 300hr journeyers

So so grateful for & .glasgow for everything we are building. Being able to make things with you all sets me alight.

And so grateful to all of you who practice with me - who show up to class, to workshops, to weird and wonderful offerings with open hearts. I’m so grateful we get to walk alongside each other. To be with you all in this sacred way - it’s the biggest honour of my life.
