Today our chefs were on the ball producing two lovely dishes as they practiced their 3rd 'Come Dine With Us' session. On the menu was Colcannon mash with sweet chili salmon followed by home made strawberry tart! Hopefully there will be the same standard next week when our guests are here, but very well done!

This afternoon was our final day with our two Lovely OT students, Emily & Sarah. We have appreciated them so much during the time that they have spent with us and have become such an asset to our team. We hope that maybe we will see something of them over the summer months, as they have offered to help us out if need be (they may regret that offer)! but many many thanks to you both x

Today with a few people off on holiday everyone else was able to go on a trip in the minibus. We talked many times of visiting St Conan's Kirk, all the way up at Loch Awe. We managed it today and what an amazing place, full of character, and history!

Today our students Emily & Sarah did one of their follow up workshops after our 'looking after yourself' workshops. This workshop was aimed at highlighting just how easy it is for our germs to spread. Service users decided on where to sample, and petri dishes were used to store the samples. After a few days we will see the results 🤢

Our 2nd 'Come Dine With Us' went perfectly today. We had great feedback from all attendees and everyone really enjoyed the food and service provided, and a well done to all the service users for their hard work and effort given!

Yesterday our two lovely Occupational Health students, Emily & Sarah led our first workshop on 'looking after yourself'. The workshop helps our service users to recognise the positives and regularity of bathing, showering, brushing our teeth, changing our clothes & underwear etc. It also covers areas such as personal space and unwelcome touch. Emily & Sarah are with us for 7 weeks and will carry out more of these workshops during their time with us.

This morning was our trial run for our second 'Come Dine with Us' event. Today our chefs were preparing Tomato & Basil soup with croutons, then spicy tomato meatballs and spaghetti. Going by the way our guys wolfed the food after it was prepared, I am guessing it went well!! Hopefully our guests on the 16th March will feel the same!

We are delighted to see that our miniature Daffodils have come up a treat and we even have snowdrops this year. The front garden is looking very spring like already and we cant wait to see the crocus and tulip flowers coming up soon!
