Ireland’s CRC Central Remedial Clinic, a national charity and voluntary organisation which provides specialist care, treatment, and support for people with complex disabilities, has appointed IES, to lead a landmark energy management and climate action programme for its nationwide network of specialist facilities. The project will help CRC meet Ireland’s statutory Climate Action Mandate, achieving the public sector decarbonisation target of 51% by 2030 while cutting costs across its estate.

As part of the project, IES’s consultancy team will deploy advanced digital modelling tools to develop a clear, costed roadmap to reduce energy and manage carbon outputs across the estate. It will also provide a live dashboard for CRC’s team to review how facilities are working in practice.

We’re proud to have supported Hawthorne Boyle Ltd with advanced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis for the UK’s first Safe Drug Consumption Rooms, recently opened at the Thistle Centre in Glasgow.

IES Consulting carried out complex CFD analysis to validate the internal airflow requirements for Glasgow’s Safe Drug Consumption Rooms. This challenging project had to prove effective air containment and pressure differentials, while meeting stringent regulatory standards.
