Couples travelling across the world to get married in Scotland will always feel a little magical to me 🇺🇸

Next month I have the pleasure of conducting a wedding ceremony for a wonderful couple visiting from the USA, who have chosen the stunning near Edinburgh to say their vows.

Historic castles, incredible scenery, and a ceremony created just for them… Scotland really is a special place to begin a new chapter together.

It’s such a privilege to welcome couples from around the world and help them celebrate their love here. I can’t wait for this one. 🤍

Every time a couple books me to be their celebrant it genuinely means so much. Weddings will always be a bit extra special to me - this photo is actually from my own wedding morning with some of my favourite people.

I’m a funeral and wedding celebrant based in Glasgow.

I create personal, story-led ceremonies that reflect the life being honoured or the love being celebrated.

Before this, I was a journalist for over 13 years, so listening well and choosing the right words really matters to me. Every ceremony is carefully written, thoughtful and completely centred on the people at the heart of it.

Whether I’m supporting a family through a goodbye or standing with a couple as they begin married life, my role is to tell your story in a way that feels like the person being remembered or the couple being married 🤍

This “Letters to Heaven” postbox gives guests a quiet moment to write to someone they’re missing.

It works beautifully at weddings and funerals, because love doesn’t stop, even when someone isn’t physically there.
