Friday the 13th… unlucky?
Or human belief shaping reality?
For generations we’ve been told this day is unlucky.
So millions of people wake up today half expecting something to go wrong.
And when something small does…
the story confirms itself.
But the mind works in a fascinating way.
There’s a system in the brain called the Reticular Activating System.
Its job is to filter what we notice in the world based on what we already believe matters.
Think about yellow cars for a moment.
Suddenly they’re everywhere.
They were always there.
Your mind just started noticing them.
Belief works exactly the same way.
If enough people expect bad luck on a certain day, their minds quietly start collecting the evidence.
Which makes Friday the 13th feel less like bad luck…
and more like a mirror showing how powerful human focus really is.
Interestingly, the number 13 has long been connected with cycles.
Change. Transformation. Renewal.
The unseen forces of life moving beneath the surface.
Something many traditions recognised as the feminine principle.
Not just about women.
About the deeper rhythms of life that exist whether we fully understand them or not.
Which makes me curiously ask you...
Do certain days really carry energy?
Or do humans create the meaning and reality around them?
Are we really more powerful than we can imagine and that mystery is what scares us the most?
