There are moments on this path of my life that I have to pinch myself! .... this is definitely one of those moments! Every handfasting im part off .. I'm honoured to be part of someone's timeline ... its a big job! And every one is very special.
Its quite something to be trusted ... to be with people on this part of their life's journey and it always gets my feet firmly back on the ground it is a huge honour and very humbling and it blows me away every time! And im always very very grateful .... the chalice well is something else ... we where the only ones here the place was just for may Dennis and tiddler .... their moment .... just them. . As a family .... showing the universe their commitment to each other ... as I left this stunning place I was the only one in the garden... no one.else .... the peace was unreal! It felt like being held! Just for a moment ... congratulations may and Dennis on you new path together ### and thank you for allowing me to be part of you special moment ###

Grandad of Bardware here....... I hope all are well and happy, and looking forward, with the improved weather hopefully, to Beltane and it's associated "vibes". Historically I've always rather enjoyed Walpurgis with it's traditional bonfires etc., I've generally combined it with a good bit of wassailing festivities, just good to look forward to longer, and perhaps warmer, days. OLd age has crept up fast on me!😞
To paraphrase Blackadder, I awoke this morning in "a slightly odd mood"! As regularly occurs with me I had a song fighting to get out of my brain and, unusually, I can attribute exactly where it came from this time. I often dream of past events and times of my life (some of them quite "hairy" from my time in the security industry) but that's another story perhaps on another day. This time it was about time I spent on the west coast of Ireland, specifically, in a little resturant above Di**le beach run by two lovely Irish girls who actually, it turned out, lived and worked in the off season very near to my then home in West London. We had a lovely meal there and the girls joined us after and we talked and joked well into the soft Irish night with the waves crashing below onto the long sands of Di**le Beach, some places, and people, are very, very hard to leave!
Anyhey, I shall attach the aforementioned song, Song For Ireland, sang by Mary Black, to this as usual. Thank you for your time in reading and suffering this old man's ramblings. I'll leave you with my sincere blessings and, of course,

Grandad of Bardware here.........Hope all are thriving. Been somewhat "indisposed" over the last couple of weeks since last Castle Combe market really. But, thanks to our marvellous NHS, hopefully on the road to recovery now. So, I thought I'd "do" a post! Woke this morning with a couple of lingering thoughts in my head. On realising it was a Sunday again made me aware how quickly time seems to pass as you advance in years, I think there must be an algorythm somewhere that equates how quickly time appears to pass against how many years you've been on the planet! Never seems to be enough time to do everything, or is that just lacking the energy to get on an do? Another conundrum! Too much for my "old man" brain today.....I'll think about it tomorrow! 😁The other random item rattling around the ole grey matter this morning was, inevitably, a song. Again, one I used to enjoy singing/playing back, oh so far back, from one of my fave performers Nanci Griffith so I shall, as usual, append to this post.
My sincere blessings and wishes to all, and, as always,.........
