Grandad of Bardware here....... I hope all are well and happy, and looking forward, with the improved weather hopefully, to Beltane and it's associated "vibes". Historically I've always rather enjoyed Walpurgis with it's traditional bonfires etc., I've generally combined it with a good bit of wassailing festivities, just good to look forward to longer, and perhaps warmer, days. OLd age has crept up fast on me!π
To paraphrase Blackadder, I awoke this morning in "a slightly odd mood"! As regularly occurs with me I had a song fighting to get out of my brain and, unusually, I can attribute exactly where it came from this time. I often dream of past events and times of my life (some of them quite "hairy" from my time in the security industry) but that's another story perhaps on another day. This time it was about time I spent on the west coast of Ireland, specifically, in a little resturant above Di**le beach run by two lovely Irish girls who actually, it turned out, lived and worked in the off season very near to my then home in West London. We had a lovely meal there and the girls joined us after and we talked and joked well into the soft Irish night with the waves crashing below onto the long sands of Di**le Beach, some places, and people, are very, very hard to leave!
Anyhey, I shall attach the aforementioned song, Song For Ireland, sang by Mary Black, to this as usual. Thank you for your time in reading and suffering this old man's ramblings. I'll leave you with my sincere blessings and, of course,
