Signs your nervous system is overloaded…
It can feel like:
⚡ Racing thoughts you can’t switch off
⚡ Tight chest, shallow breathing
⚡ Snapping at the smallest things
⚡ Exhaustion, but struggling to sleep
⚡ Feeling “on edge” even when nothing’s wrong
We’ve been there too - and we want you to know, there’s nothing wrong with you. Your nervous system has just gone into overdrive.
Here are a few simple ways to redress the balance:
🔹 Cold water reset. Splash your face with cold water or step into a cool shower - it tells your body you’re safe to calm down.
🔹 Box breathing. Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. A quick way to steady your system.
🔹 Get outside. Natural light and fresh air reset your circadian rhythm and help shift your state. ( Bare foot on the earth where possible )
🔹 Take a micro pause. Stop, drop your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and check in with yourself: What do I need right now?
These small practices work - they bring you out of overload and back into balance.
