It is a truly great food festival and not only do I love seeing what local foods are produced and catch up with some people that I know but it’s just a great day out in general and I highly recommend it.
If you have a bit of spare time on Sunday, then head over to Speech House and go munch some amazing food!

It makes me super happy to be sponsoring Forest Showcase Food Festival this year!
I wanted to give something back locally and I figured that I could do that by supporting our lovely forest foodies day! Excited to head over there at some point in the day.

We are looking for a Part Time Van driver to join our team in Cinderford, for regular Friday runs and ad hoc cover at other times.

We supply some truly inspirational businesses across some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain.

There are early starts and some long days, as well as loading and unloading, and care with paperwork needed.

Training is given - though we require a clean driving licence and a commitment to food safety and customer relations.

Please send a covering letter and CV to: admin@cinderhillfarm.com.

📢 You can now recycle more at the kerbside ♻️.

We are now collecting plastic tubs, pots, and trays at the kerbside as part of your weekly recycling collection.

People in the Forest of Dean are keen recyclers, and our district places in the top 15% of English local authorities for its waste and recycling performance. This change will mean we are recycling even more 🙌.

We can take items such as:
✔️ Yoghurt pots, margarine and ice cream tubs
✔️ Punnets from fruit and vegetables
✔️ Trays for meat, biscuits etc

❌ Sorry but we can’t take: hard plastics (like flowers pots and toys) and soft plastics/film (such as carrier bags, bread bags, pet/baby food pouches, crisp packets, film lids, clingfilm and bubble wrap).

Some households have been putting out mixed plastics with their plastic bottles for some time. This plastic has been going for recycling, however there were steps we needed to take before we could officially roll out this service to the whole district.

‼️ As pots, tubs and trays can be particularly light, we advise residents stack another of their recycling containers on top of their box for plastics to prevent plastic from blowing away.

Recycling is important, but reducing our reliance on plastic is even better for the environment - while we’re pleased to offer more recycling options, we also encourage everyone to think about how they can reduce the amount of plastic they use in the first place.

Sometimes we don't take the time to celebrate achievements, but today my heart was filled with warmth after receiving this feedback following on from a BRCGS audit that I conducted last week. I choose to not do so many these days as I have a wonderful group of local clients who I support with internal auditing and technical support, however, to receive such heart warming feedback certainly reminds you not to doubt yourself...
What a great way to move into the rest of the week, I am highly thankful.
Don't forget to celebrate achievements. After 15 years of being a BRCGS auditor, this is the kind of thing that makes it so rewarding.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Our site underwent its BRCGS Audit end of February 2025. The auditor was Kate Adams.

I just wanted to provide you with positive feedback about the audit process once more. The main reasons that ######XX continues to use ###XX services are your responsiveness and customer service, which are always good, but also the quality of your auditors. Kate Adams is another example of a very tough but fair auditor that always endeavours to add value to the business, rather than just try to ‘catch us out’. The process is certainly not easy, its intense and rigorous. However, there is a way to positively deal with this and it is viewing the process as teamwork – between auditor and company.

Kate is very engaging and communicative. She has the patience to listen and the wisdom to respond. She is also tough and does not let us get away with anything else than high or proper standards. Kate questions in a manner that elicits trust in her judgement and respect for her input. After 12 years of BRCGS Audits we feel our business has continually improved (as it is supposed to). Even now, 12 years later, there are elements of our operation that benefit from third party input. This is only possible if our auditors have the knowledge and experience to assist us.
