It's holiday season and as we are preparing to go away on a family holiday, I'm reminded of our holidays when my kids were babies, they are now 15 and 20 so preparations look very different now.
One of our favourite places to go was The Isles Of Scilly, and despite all of the paraphernalia you need when taking a baby on holiday, I often travelled to the islands from Worcestershire on my own to meet my parents there. I learnt to only take the bare essentials, and found that travelling by train was an easier option so I could focus on them while we were travelling. There was always a kind member of public, train conductor, taxi driver, or boat operator around to help me if I needed it, and the journey there is an adventure in itself.
Once we got there, the calmness of the islands would wash over us, and we had a wonderful time. We're not going to the Isles of Scilly this year, but it is still a favourite place for us all.
What are your tips for travelling with a baby?
