🪨 Unearthed… by Ruby (of course) 🐾

While inspecting the premises, our resident “Head of Discoveries” Ruby appears to have uncovered something a little different…

Two limestone lithography plates, both part of the same print, a fascinating piece of printing history! Before the rise of aluminium plates and modern CTP workflows, this was a cornerstone of commercial printing requiring real craftsmanship and precision. These plates appear to be advertising artwork for Peek Frean & Co. who were purveyors of fine biscuits.

A great reminder of how far the industry has evolved from hand-prepared stone plates to the high-speed printing, die-cutting, bindery and finishing equipment we work with every day.

We’re not sure what Ruby will discover next… but we’re keeping her on the payroll! 🐶

🐾 The Care Graphic Team Takes on Crufts!

Two of our four-legged colleagues have been busy representing the company at Crufts, and we’re proud to report some excellent results from our canine department:

🥈 Digby – Second in class
🥇 Ruby – First in class and Best Puppy in Breed

We’d like to congratulate them both on their outstanding performance, although we should note their attendance in the warehouse remains questionable, and neither has yet mastered operating a forklift…But we’re very proud to have such high-performing teammates. 🐶

Back to the day job tomorrow, supplying the global graphics industry with printing, die-cutting, bindery and carton gluing equipment!
