Stay sun safe in the sun - UK Health Security Agency have issued a yellow heat health alert for our area.

β˜€οΈ Top tips from our public health team:

- Stay in the shade between 11am and 3pm
- Use parasols for prams - make sure there is air flow, it is not safe to cover the pram with a blanket
- Keep babies under 6 months out of direct sun
- Pack water if you travelling and on days out
- Stay hydrated – especially little ones and older adults
- Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen regularly, (SPF) of at least 30, and 4 or 5 star ultraviolet A (UVA) protection.

Finally - keep an eye on loved ones and neighbours who may be at higher risk of becoming unwell in warm weather including older people, babies and young children.

πŸ§ πŸ’— Today is World Pre-eclampsia Day πŸ§ πŸ’—

Pre-eclampsia can sometimes develop without obvious symptoms, which is why attending routine antenatal appointments is so important.
Keeping antenatal appointments helps your team check blood pressure and urine, which are important in spotting signs early πŸ’š
