April is Bowel Cancer Awareness, an annual campaign supported by the NHS and Bowel Cancer UK to highlight symptoms, promote early diagnosis, and encourage screening uptake. With bowel cancer being the fourth most common cancer in the UK, the initiative emphasizes that 9 in 10 people survive when diagnosed early

This month is also Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Awareness month, dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and improving care for the most common digestive disorder. It impacts millions worldwide, with symptoms like abdominal pain and bloating, disproportionately affecting women

Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments are for life-threatening emergencies, such as severe chest pain, major injury, or heavy blood loss.

They are under high pressure, so patients are urged to use alternatives like NHS 111 - www.111.nhs.uk/, pharmacies ~ www.nhs.uk/service-search/pharmacy/find-a-pharmacy/results/Goole?latitude=53.703817319654775&longitude=-0.8713038301469084, or urgent care centers for non-serious issues to ensure care for those who need it most.

Stay safe, this Easter!
