Are you feeling overwhelmed/anxious/stressed?

Have you asked yourself where these thoughts/feelings are coming from?

Would you like to feel less overwhelmed, make time for yourself and do what makes you happy?

Have you thought about setting Boundaries for your self care?

Creating boundaries can significantly reduce stress by setting clear expectations in various aspects of life.
This can allow you to protect time, energy and your emotional wellbeing, which can lead to a better sense of control helping reduce anxiety.

Here are some examples of 7 types of Boundaries

1. TIME :- How much time you spend doing something or time spent with someone.
2. PHYSICAL:- privacy, private space, your body.
3. CONVERSION:- subjects that you don't feel comfortable speaking about.
4. MENTAL :- freedom to have your own opinions, thoughts, values.
5. EMOTIONAL:- As much as you would like to support someone ask yourself how emotionally available you are to others.
6. INTERNAL :- It is ok to have time for yourself. If you have been socialble all week it's OK to express you need time to yourself.
7. MATERIAL:- Monetary decisions. If you have already lent someone money it's OK to say "I have already lent you money this week therefore not again right now.

CERTIFICATE IN WORKING THERAPEUTICLY WITH AUTISTIC CLIENTS.

I started doing this course in January and it took me longer to complete than planned.

However.

What an fantastic achievement.

I am so proud that I have now completed this course and gained my certificate.

This has been a remarkable experience.

Doing the course was very emotional. I did need to take time in between modules to do a lot of reflecting.

Anxiety - In control - Me, Out of control.

Control.

Are you feeling frazzled, low mood, overwhelmed despite noticing the days are getting longer and the sun is beginning to heat up and shine?

Burnout does tend to affect more people in the winter. The pressures of family, finance, relationships, and work intersect with shorter days, less sunlight, and the Christmas holiday season.

Are you now wondering why you are still feeling exhausted?

Days are getting longer, which means you might be busier.

But wait!!!

Have you recharged your batteries?

If you answered no, this does eventually catch up.

No one can give from a flat battery!

I did an introductory course in January in Autism informed practice.

I have now signed up to do a course on Working Therapeuticly with Autistic clients.

On completion I will be an Autistic informed practitioner.

I start this course in a few weeks time and it is 45 hours of continued professional development.

This is blended learning, there are quite a number of modules to cover.

I am not sure how.long this will take me.

Personal Boundaries.

What does personal Boundaries mean for you?

Have you set your own Boundaries?

Boundaries are a healthy way of protecting your personal space and mental wellbeing.

Boundaries are often learned during childhood with our families/carers, however, this does not always happen.

Having healthy Boundaries can help with self Compassion, self control, self esteem and overall wellbeing.

When people have not had a chance to set Boundaries as children, this can sometimes cause difficulties for them as adults.

I can help if you would you like to set Boundaries and take back self control and help your overall wellbeing.

How many times have you started off the new year by making resolutions?

Do they tend to fizzle out within a few weeks?

Do you then give up and begin to have negative thoughts and emotions about not achieving those resolutions?

How would it feel to set aims, be flexible about them rather than making resolutions and thinking that they are firm decisions set in stone, putting pressure on yourself that you must carry them through or you will be disappointed?

Would you like to make changes?

Ask yourself

What are your aims?
Why do you want to aim for this?
How are you going to achieve this?

Self Compassion can help you achieve what you are aiming for, can allow you to acknowledge any negative thoughts or feelings, help you to become aware, to accept without trying to push them away or change them.

Self Compassion can help you recover from setbacks and let go of Perfectionism.

Self Compassion can help to replace self critism with kindness and understanding.

Finding Calm in the Mayhem

What do you do to cope when you are feeling overwhelmed?

Sometimes coping strategies help at the time but can be a temporary fix.

Finding ways to cope can be so overwhelming when anxiety has taken over.
