A huge thank you to Gosport Fire Station for inviting our residents and staff in for such a fun and informative afternoon.

Everyone felt so welcomed, learned lots about fire safety, and really enjoyed seeing behind the scenes and meeting the team. Experiences like this are so valuable — building confidence, connection, and a sense of community.

Today we held a beautiful Self Love & Empowerment Workshop, facilitated by the wonderful Rachel ✨

A nurturing space for reflection, connection and self-focus, filled with honesty and support.

This workshop was made possible thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund support, and we are so grateful for their continued investment in community wellbeing 💙

A huge thank you as well to Greggs for their generous lunch donations, which helped make the day even more welcoming and comforting.

✨ So proud of these two incredible women ✨

Congratulations to Megan and Helen who graduated from the Hampshire Ambassador Programme .

The Hampshire Ambassador Programme is a fantastic opportunity for women in recovery to gain free training, build confidence and work towards a Level 2 qualification that can open doors to employment, volunteering and peer-support roles.

The course focuses on:
🌱 Person-centred coaching and personal development
💬 Communication and workplace skills
💼 Building confidence for employment and future opportunities
🤍 Supporting recovery alongside learning in a safe, encouraging environment

Many graduates of the programme go on to make a real difference, including working in peer support, mentoring, coaching and community roles at Recovery Connections.

📍 Upcoming course dates
• Havant – Starts Thursday 29th January, running for 12 consecutive Thursdays
• Gosport – Starts 28th April

✔ Requirement: 3 months abstinence and a willingness to learn and grow

At Steps Within, we believe lived experience matters 💛

Our team includes staff who have their own experience of addiction and recovery. This means we understand the courage it takes to want things to change, and how overwhelming those first steps can feel.

We are here to support, guide and signpost anyone who is struggling with substance use and wants to explore a different way forward. You do not need to be one of our residents to reach out — we’re happy to offer guidance, a listening ear, and help pointing you in the right direction.

If you’re thinking about making changes, even just quietly and unsure where to start, you don’t have to do it alone. Support is available 🤍

Christmas can be a really difficult time, and if you’re feeling overwhelmed or in crisis, please remember that you are not alone and help is available.

We’ve shared some important emergency and support numbers that can be used over the Christmas period. Reaching out is a strength, not a failure — whether you need immediate help or just someone to talk to.

Our Christmas party was such a special reminder of how far the ladies have come. Seeing everyone relaxed, laughing, and enjoying themselves together really highlighted the progress, resilience, and hard work each woman puts into her recovery every single day.

Moments like these matter — they show that joy, connection, and belonging are all part of the healing journey. We’re incredibly proud of every one of them and grateful to walk alongside them. 💛

A huge thank you to the Palm Lounge at Lisa Edwards Hairdressing for hosting us and helping create such a beautiful, safe space 🎄✨
