【Ink & Memory:記憶中嘅白蘭花 】
有種香味,真係可以一秒帶你返屋企。
對於我嚟講,呢種香味一定係白蘭花。好掛住以前街邊啲老婆婆賣嘅白蘭花,濕氣焗喺膠袋裏面,白蘭花嘅香氣真係甜到漏好 sweet,呢個係好 deeply rooted 喺腦海入面嘅 childhood memory。
早兩日見到白蘭樹下Gin酒係英國嘅廣告,發現好似無人畫過白蘭嘅水墨,所以就試一試。雖然白蘭花唔係傳統題材,但用 Sumi-e (墨繪) 嘅方式去捕捉佢嗰種流暢優雅嘅「氣」,process 其實好療癒。
想同大家 share 一點:雖然都係水墨,但我學嘅係 Japanese Sumi-e (日本墨繪),而唔係國畫。日本墨繪更加注重meditative 嘅過程,同埋用最簡單嘅線條去表現物件嘅靈魂 (essence),呢種 focus 同我做 Art Therapy 嘅理念好相似:唔追求完美,最緊要有一刻感覺到你同某種顏色、線條、甚至某一點墨跡嘅 connection。
真係好掛住白蘭花嘅香氣,其實係可以搵到白蘭花同白蘭葉精油的。但真花個種温暖嘅甜花香真係任何野都取代唔到!
大家又有冇邊種味,係一聞到就會諗起某段回憶?

同Trafford Hongkongers CIC合作嘅心靈X藝術工作坊嚟到第三個星期。見到班小朋友對自己啲作品咁自豪,真係好滿足!我好鍾意藝術可以畀到佢哋一個空間去大聲表達自己。無論係 Art for Wellbeing 定係臨床藝術治療,我都一樣咁鍾意,因為我見到每個小朋友都好需要呢啲屬於自己嘅時間,去放低恐懼、自由自在咁做返自己。
今次我哋一齊探索水彩嘅自然流動,睇住啲色點樣喺水度化開、沉澱。每一撻水漬、每一種色,都變成佢哋抒發情緒嘅工具。我哋最後將色彩拼貼上canvas,作為「承載」,gentle咁表達藝術可以令情緒得到安全感同被理解。

上星期我為學校 SEN 教學助理舉行咗一個 Art for Wellbeing 嘅 one-off workshop。好開心見到佢哋喺短短一個鐘嘅藝術創作之後,成個人都放鬆咗,心情亦都平靜咗好多。

研究指出,就算只係單一次嘅藝術治療活動,對於心理健康嘅正面影響都可以好顯著。

我留意到近年越嚟越多移英港人投身 SEN TA 呢個行業。我想提醒大家,呢份工作嘅壓力真係好大(我都過來人,非常明白個中辛酸)。所以大家喺照顧學校小朋友嘅同時,記得都要好似愛護佢哋咁,畀返同樣份量嘅關懷同愛善待自己💕

Last week, we held a special trial session of the Vessels of Colours workshop with a wonderful group of SEN TAs at a local primary school. Together, we gently explored "cost of care" in their vital daily work, and how simple selfcare moments like colour play and symbolic vessels can refill our inner warmth.

The feedback warmed our hearts: many shared they felt lighter, calmer, and more grounded afterwards. Thank you to these amazing educators for trusting us with your creative time! 💕

This trial helps shape our CIC's community wellbeing offerings. More workshops coming soon...

話咁快就踏入3月!今日仲有大地回春嘅感覺,褸都唔駛著🌞
2026年真係好多事發生!首先,同Trafford Hongkongers CIC 合辦嘅Art for wellbeing workshop for Children已經full咗!但嚟緊仲有大人,青少年同老人嘅cohorts! 請密切留意🙇‍♀️

其次,個人藝術發展方面亦有啲新進展。成為A4 Studios駐場藝術家,終於有個細細嘅studio畫畫✍️;同時參加咗Altrincham Artists Society 喺Town Hall搞嘅畫展!我畫嘅係日本水墨畫,有興趣嚟緊三個週末可以去睇下💕

準備緊星期二嘅Art for Wellbeing Workshop! 藝術治療其中一個種要原則,就係準備唔同種類嘅art materials,等參加者可以按自己心意去選擇美術工具,以非言語表達嘅方式抒發感受。所以要用嘅art materials係比一般art and craft 班多。呢set 工具已經幫不同學校,機構買過幾次。今次係為自己嘅CIC買,感覺得別開心!

嚟緊星期二嘅workshop 係專為6-11歲小朋友而設。工作坊為期六週,以「海洋」比喻情緒,設計出多樣化嘅藝術活動,讓小朋友透過創作經歷學習情緒變化及自我調節的方法。
課程採取彈性報名方式,讓參加者可隨時加入,自由選擇參與個別週次或全期工作坊。每週將配合主題設計不同的藝術體驗,確保內容豐富多變。

參加者唔需要任何藝術經驗,我哋會提供所有材料。全部費用由The National Lottery 贊助!

話說舊年,我喺藝術治療實習其間兼職喺做開嘅小學做咗一年therapeutic art practitioner, 期間我留意到一個 missing link, 就係大人小朋友都好需要一個介乎「興趣班」同「臨床治療」之間嘅空間,去平衡日常嘅壓力同情緒。

我嚟緊會主力喺Trafford推廣art for wellbeing workshops! 我嘅目標好簡單:將具科學根據嘅心理健康工具,變成每個人都可以參與嘅日常活動。你唔使有藝術底子,只要你願意畀個空間自己就得。

Hi everyone! I’m Jasmine, founder and director of The Holding Palette CIC. I’m also a qualified art therapist.
The idea behind it came to me after a year working as a therapeutic art practitioner alongside my trainee art therapist placement last year. I realised there’s a huge gap between recreational art classes, which are fantastic for learning techniques, experimenting, and having fun creating pretty pieces and clinical art therapy, which provides a safe, confidential space for deep emotional expression, processing trauma, and personal growth guided by a trained therapist. Too many people fall in the “missing middle”: they need more than casual crafting for wellbeing but aren’t ready (or able) for formal clinical sessions.
That’s where The Holding Palette steps in. We offer affordable, inclusive art for wellbeing workshops in Greater Manchester (starting in Trafford) that draw on professional art therapy principles to build emotional resilience, foster community, and spark joy through creative expression. No prior skills needed, just an open heart!

Dyadic Art Psychotherapy 培訓 Day 2:reflective art 係喺notebook對頁上面畫水墨,感受由混亂到成形嘅過程。

今日討論咗 Narrative Coherence Approach點樣幫小朋友同照顧者整理心入面嘅故事,尤其係嗰啲難以言喻,甚至係Pre-verbal嘅創傷經歷。
睇住水墨喺紙上面自然流動、化開,望落雖然好似好「亂」,但對摺之後出現對稱嘅翅膀🦋,正正係治療過程中同個案建立Attunement嘅真實寫照。亦體會到修復創傷嘅過程從來都唔係一條直線。就好似墨跡咁,有流動、滲透同埋轉化。

關於大埔火災後續支援:為何「時機」是心理支援的關鍵?

最近在 Threads 和社交媒體上,看到有熱心人士或藝術家希望能為大埔火災的受影響者舉辦藝術工作坊。這份關懷社區的心意非常珍貴,但在心理專業的角度,我想提出一個關於介入時機(Timing of Intervention) 的重要提醒。

為什麼現在不是進行「深度治療」的時候?
我的直覺與國際創傷心理學指引(如 WHO 及 NICE Guidelines)是一致的:在災難發生的急性期(首一個月內),我們不應急於進行任何形式的深度心理治療或創傷挖掘。
即使是由合資格治療師帶領的藝術治療 (Art Therapy),若在錯誤的時機或開放的工作坊環境下進行,也存在風險:
1. 大腦處於生存模式:受創者的大腦此刻正處於fight or flight mode的高壓狀態。他們最需要的是生理和心理的安全感,而不是去回憶或表達創傷。
2. 情緒淹沒 (Flooding) 的風險:藝術創作能繞過語言防衛,直接觸碰潛意識。在未建立足夠穩定性前,過早引導受創者「表達感受」,極可能令他們的情緒失控,甚至造成二度創傷 (Retraumatization)。

根據Trauma-Informed原則,現階段最合適的支援是心理急救(Psychological First Aid)。這不是治療,這是最單純的人道支援:
1. Safety:確保他們遠離危險,解決食宿等生存焦慮。
2. Calm:透過陪伴和簡單的Grounding練習,協助神經系統回復平靜
3. Connectedness:協助他們聯繫親友或社會資源。

如果你真的希望舉辦活動,請務必釐清活動性質,此刻唯一適合做的是純粹陪伴和分散注意力的活動。例如重複性的手工藝(如編織),小朋友可以填顏色,目的是讓雙手有事做,讓大腦休息,完全不涉及表達火災的感受或情緒。

記得,心理修復工作要留待災民的生活穩定後,並由受過臨床創傷訓練的專業人士在一對一的安全環境下進行。
